Chapter 4

Aurora's POV

My first day at Disney Prep had come to an end. It had been fun, hanging with the Princesses, who were all trying out for Cheerleading Squad. I really wanted to be captain.

When the bell signalled for the end of English, I ran to the locker room and got my cheerleading uniform from out of my pink locker.
"Hurry up Briar, we're gonna be sooo late!!" Tiana moaned.

I punched her playfully and ran to the changing rooms. My worst enemy, Maleficent, was there. When she saw me, she flicked her brown hair in disgust. Well, I thought, she is still as rude.

I put on my fluffy pink jumper with the school's sports logo and pink skater skirt. Maleficent kept giggling and whispering about me. Her black outfit looked like she was in mourning. Ugh.

When I was dressed, I ran to the sports hall and started warming up. The princesses joined me.
"I saw Maleficent, poor you Briar!" Cindy sympathised.
"She kept giving us dirty looks and I heard her say, a dumb blonde!" Moaned Belle.

I hugged my girls, thanking them for reassurance. Maleficent was standing with Vanessa, one of her followers. Vanessa had long black hair and Ruby red lips, and made them look even more red by applying lipstick all the time. Her uniform was purple.

When I had finished warming up, the coach walked in.
"Alright! So let's go round and say names to get aquatinted! And then we will start tryouts."
We went round the room, starting with a senior with platinum hair called Elsa. I said my name and blushed straight after, don't judge, I'm shy.

"Ok! So you have all prepared a routine, so let's start with, hmm, Aurora!"
I ran to the centre of the room and immediately started doing a series of fancy jumps. I flipped and picked up my pom-poms and started dancing. I did walk overs and everything. Before I knew it, my snippet of music stopped as I came up from a crab.

Everyone cheered, except for Maleficent of course. Thankfully, after that I could relax. Everyone else was amazing! Less is gonna have a hard time picking who's gonna be on the squad. I prayed she would pick me, I want this more than anyone else.

Thankfully, within the hour, we were finished. I couldn't wait till tomorrow so I can find out if I made the team. I hope I do, I deserve it.
