Devon ran through the halls trying to get to class.

"My bad." He said after bumping into someone on his journey. "Sorry."
He continued to run until he got to his class and the door was closing.
"No, no. I'm right here. Wait." He said as the door closed in his face.
He knocked as the teacher looked at him. "Can I please come in? I wasn't even late. I was on time."
"To be on time is to be late Mr. Taylor and you are late everyday." The teacher said.
"Okay. I'll do better. So can I come in?" He asked.
"If you do you have detention."
"I can't have detention. Not today. I'll do any other day but not today." Devon said.
"Mr. Taylor this is your fifth tardy this week. You've been late everyday. You can either have detention and come in class or not be allowed in for being late at all." He said.
Devon swallowed his pride and took the detention and went to have a seat as his science class began.
*** *Bell Rings*
"Class! I'm gonna need that essay on my desk as you exit class!" The teacher yelled.
Kevon looked up from his paper and started gathering the rest of his things.

He handed his essay in and put his backpack on to exit the class room. Once outside the school he started looking around for his brother.
"Hey." He heard and looked.
He saw Devon sitting. He went over to him and dapped him up.
"Where dad at?" Kevon asked looking at his watch. "We gonna be late."
