Kytyn.
I woke up bright and early, before Frank or William woke up, seeing as they wake up before everyone else. I gently escape from William's arms and make my way to Cristina's room where I can hear Alex cooing. I walk in and I see the baby touching her aunt's face, trying to wake her up. I giggle, grabbing her and heading into the kitchen. I grab one of the baby bottles from William's secret mini fridge and feed her as I also make breakfast for the 10 other household members. By the time she's finished with her bottle, and burped, the three oldest members of the household are awake. Frank, Mrs. Munion and William make their way into the kitchen, the two adults heading for the coffee machine as William sits at the table, eating some of the breakfast already there.
"Morning Kytyn. I talked to Helen and Mrs. Munion about your situation last night and they both agree to you and Alex living with us in our new house." Frank tells me as he goes and sits by William.
"That's great. I'll be starting my assistant job as a vet soon, so I can pay for rent, and my own food if I need to." I tell him, flipping an egg.
"That's not needed. You're family, you'll live with us for free."
"Thank you, sir." I say as I place the last of breakfast on the platter.
"Dad." Frank corrects, looking at me over the newspaper he picked up.
"Right, dad." I smile weakly as I bounce Alex in my arms. She coos, nibbling on her fingers as the other one points at Frank.
"I think someone wants to see grandpa." Frank coos.
"Uh... yeah..." I whisper, gently handing my baby girl over to him.
"She's so cute. She looks exactly like you, Kytyn." He smiles.
"I guess so." I smile faintly as I look at William nervously. How long can we keep up this lie? She's bound to develop traits that are her father's.
"Kytyn!" Cristina cheers, running into the room and hugging me tightly. "I'm sorry I hogged the bed last night with Alex! I was just so tired!"
"Its ok, Cristina. Lets all just eat breakfast before the big move." I smile softly at her as the other kids chow down on their food.
Frank might have moved his family out here, but whenever he moved with his family, my step dad moved us too. Frank and him were in the same job, and almost every time he moved, my step dad moved us too. This last move though, my step dad didn't move us, and so I left in my car, with Alex and stayed with the Beardsley's in secret. He wouldn't dare call the authorities to find me, he didn't even care enough to do that, neither did my mother.
"Kytyn? Is everything alright? Its time to go." Frank shakes my shoulder. I shake my head and look around. Cristina was buckling Alex into her car seat, that I assume William got from my car, and the other kids were already waiting outside. "Ready to go?"
"Yeah... yeah..." I nod, getting up and walking out to my car with William and Cristina, who holds Alex's car seat in her hand. They rode with me. William drove Frank's other car though, so we had three cars.
"Frank!" I hear a woman call as we all get out of the three cars we used.
"Helen." He kissed her and the other kids came out to greet us.
"Oh! You must be Kytyn! Its wonderful to meet you. You and Alex will have your own room in the attic." Helen tells me with a smile.
"Thank you." I say softly, smiling weakly as she smiles brightly.
"I'll show you where it is right now, then we can give out the room assignments, ok, Frank?" Helen asks Frank who nods.
"William, help Kytyn and Alex into their room, ok?" William nods and I get Alex out of her car seat and we head upstairs. William follows with my only suitcase from my car. Helen opens a door for us. Theres stairs that lead up into a gorgeous room. I look around it in awe.
"Sorry it doesn't have a baby cradle, we can go get one later, ok?"
"No, no. Thats fine. Alex likes to sleep in a bed with someone." I tell Helen.
"Ok. Alright, I'm sure you're tired and all, so we'll head downstairs to give the other kids their room assignments. You and Alex can rest here."
"Thank you so much, ma'am." I smile gently at her as I set Alex down.
"Please, call me mom." She kisses my cheek before heading downstairs before William. He comes up to me and hugs me gently.
"I'm sorry we have to hide the truth, but it will all work out eventually."
"I know... thank you, William, you are my best friend, and I love you." I kiss his cheek, my heart aching, wishing this lie could be true.
"I love you too." He kisses my forehead before leaving.
I look down at Alex in her little makeshift enclosure, surrounded by pillows so she didn't fall off the bed. She was already falling asleep for a nap, and I swaddled her in a blanket gently before kissing her head and sitting in the hanging seat, watching the other kids outside.
I watch as Cristina and William both glare at one of Helen's older kids. It was a brunette girl, and I assume she made a comment the two disliked. I chuckle as the younger kids of the North family side play around. They were more creative and rambunctious than the Beardsley side. They would be fun to be around, but I need to watch out for Alex around them. She's still so little. When dinner rolled around, William and Cristina both came to my room, Cristina carrying a warm bottle for Alex, and a warm plate of food for me, as William carried up his mini fridge and microwave. He set it up so that I didn't need to go all the way down to the first floor to get a bottle for Alex. Cristina fed Alex as I ate my own food and watched William set it all up. He was so caring and considerate to me, and I have loved him for so long. Cristina knew that I loved him, since the first day I found out. She has tried to set us up on dates, but we only used it as a date between friends. She hasn't set up any more though, since she thinks that Alex is William's daughter, and that we are together. I don't have the heart to tell her the truth... neither does Will...
