I have no idea if this is true or not, but my friend @Burning_Lies acknowledged it, and I figured better safe than sorry, right? Whether or not this is true, it's good to educate oneself and it motivated me to do a little research. If a problem like this ever arises, and you find your story on another website where you don't want it or it's been stolen by someone, there are some things you can do to get it back.
I found these paragraphs under Wattpad's FAQ:

So yeah, who knows if this is true, but it got me thinking, and hopefully this information is helpful to someone out there reading this. :p
