how long had it been? five minutes? ten? twenty? they honestly couldn't care less. arms and legs tangled, lips locked and cheeks red. every touch felt too good to be true, their minds were foggy and dazed with passion.

if not for the heavy breath he had to gulp, soonyoung would have bet he was deceased. mingyu's hot breath fanned against his neck, soonyoung's skin twitching at the feeling. kissing mingyu was possibly the best mistake he ever made. he adjusted his back, feeling the taller slouch further into him on the couch.

before he could stop it, soonyoung felt his stomach grumble. he just had to ruin the mood didn't he?

mingyu giggled, "you're cute."

soonyoung snorted, "i know."

"should we go eat?"

soonyoung peered up to look at mingyu, "there's a cafe i really want to go to."
 
  mingyu pushed himself off the couch and flattened his wrinkled shirt, "let's go then."
 
  he held out his hand for soonyoung to take, which he did. the smaller stretched and ran his fingers through his hair in an attempt to fix it.

  "let me change okay? be right back!" soonyoung ran out the door before mingyu could process the sentence. 

  instead he went to his room just as quickly, patting his pockets before frantically searching for his keys and wallet. he let a single hand pat his butt pocket where his phone was. he nodded, grabbing a jacket and running back to the door. 

  he opened the door to find soonyoung there, now clad in jeans and breathing a little heavier than when he left. they stared at each other for a while, a silent moment of realization of what was actually happening. they were going on a fucking date. 

  mingyu exited and locked the door, he turned to soonyoung and outstretched his elbow, "shall we?"

  soonyoung smiled and interlocked his left arm with mingyu's, "we shall."

  they walked down the stairs together, mingyu allowing himself to follow soonyoung's lead to his car. 

  he had no idea where he was going, but the single fact that soonyoung would glance at mingyu distracted him.  soonyoung slowed and turned into a small parking lot, a wood paneled cafe in the middle of it. vines and potted plants hung from the wall, and the trees surrounding made such a welcoming aura.

  they finally stopped and soonyoung turned his head to face mingyu, "we're here!" he sang out. he unbuckled mingyu's seat belt and then his own, excitedly jumping out the door and slamming it. mingyu followed quickly, walking around the body of the car to meet soonyoung. 

  the smaller man gripped at mingyu's wrist, hopping like a child, "i can't believe i'm finally gonna be here! it always looked to good on the website!"

  mingyu smiled and let himself be dragged along by a happy soonyoung. it was so bright and inviting inside, more potted plants hung from the ceiling and the large square windows shone light onto the wooden tables and chairs.

  they reached the barista, who greeted them with a smile and reciting the daily special drinks and various pastries and lunches.

  soonyoung pouted and looked up at mingyu, "mingyu i don't know what to get!" he swung mingyu's arm for emphasis, "i want to get it all!"

  even though he would buy soonyoung everything on the menu, his wallet could not afford it, "well, , , how about some iced coffees?"

  "and cake?!" 

  mingyu laughed at soonyoung's request, "and a slice of cake." 

  soonyoung hugged mingyu, "thank you! thank you!" mingyu proceeded to make some complicated order, with creams and syrups and shots of something. he watched as the barista understood and wrote down what mingyu said. 

  "i-i'm gonna sit down," soonyoung announced smiling at mingyu and parting from his arm. mingyu nodded in return, continuing to ask the barista about the selection of pastries. 

  " you know alot about coffee," the barista said, his eyes squinting as he smiled at mingyu, "would you be interested in a job here?"

  mingyu stood with his mouth agape, "y-you're offering me a job?!"

  the barista laughed through his nose, "we've been looking for a new barista, and since you seem to know alot about coffee i just thought-"

  "i'll do it!" mingyu announced, feeling the eyes of many patrons turning to look at him, "i-i'm in need of some work so i-i'll take the job."

  the barista handed mingyu his receipt, "give us a call sometimes and i'll get you an interview."

  mingyu let out a sigh of relief, nodding aggressively before sprinting to soonyoung.

  "jeez mingyu what took you so-" mingyu cut him off with a full kiss to the lips, gripping soonyoung by the shoulders.

  "thank you thank you thank you soonyoung!" he chanted over and over, leaving kisses all over the smaller's cheeks and nose.

  "mingyu? what happened!?"

  mingyu let up to sit across the table and gripped soonyoung's smaller hands in his, "you got me a job!"

  "i-i did what i-"

  "soonyoung you brought me here and they offered me a job! thank you!" he lunged his upper half upwards and embraced soonyoung.

  soonyoung was still shocked, put moved his arm around to pat at mingyu's back, "you're cute sometimes mingyu."

  they were jolted into reality by a clearing of a throat near them. the barista stood beside them with a tray in his hands, " i didn't mean to interrupt but the ice might melt soon,"

  the two of them adjusted back into their seats, grinning at the man and watching as he left their food at the table. 

 "thank you," they recited in unison, soonyoung immediately stabbing the cake between them.

  mingyu took a steady sip of his coffee, watching his neighbor lick the white frosting off the spoon, licking his lips of the sugary cream. mingyu wanted to attack him so bad, but it was bad manners to do that in a cafe, and also bad manners to do it on the first date. 

  soonyoung only let his eyes wander to mingyu, "you okay?"

  mingyu nodded a yes, "don't worry about me. i'm having a great time with you."

  it was very evident that mingyu was embarrassed at his own word, soonyoung bit a smile off his lips, directing his attention to his drink to cool the redness on his cheeks that matched with mingyu's.

"i agree. we should spend alot more time together, mingyu."
