Not so bad (Hiro Hamada x Danny Phantom)

A Nurse's Help

(Hiro POV)
It's been a few weeks since Danny and I officially became friends and well they've been an interesting few weeks (Flashback). Last Monday when Danny and I were walking through the city he freaked out and accidentally knocked over a restaurant table outside because a bug flew in his face sending the restaurant manager into a rave. Then the Tuesday before that he tried playing around with some of Honey Lemon's chemicals; little did he know that he would later have to deal with blond hair for the next week, his face was priceless (End of flashback). Now Danny's texting me saying he's running late to class because he got stuck in wet cement, again, "How do you get stuck in wet cement?" I think to myself. "Well you might want to hurry because Professor Smith is not a man of mercy" I text Danny laughing subconsciously, "Who you texting?" asks Karmi with mischief in her voice, "ahh no one!" I yell almost jumping out of my seat. "Lair, it's your boyfriend isn't it!" says Karmi smiling evilly, "D..Danny's not my boyfriend Karmi!, he's my friend"I exclaim lightly blushing with embarrassment . "Oh..my..god..you like him don't you" replies Karmi grinning, "What?! no I don't, that's ridiculous h..he's Danny" I retort trying to keep my composer, "Yes you do, I can tell by the way you're blushing" argues Karmi pointing at my cheeks. At this point all I can do I just glare at her since I know she won't stop until I give in; then in less than a second Danny comes bursting through the door, the bottom of his pants covered in dried cement "I'm so sorry Professor Smith I accidentally got stuck in wet cement,...but I have my homework" smiles Danny trying to catch his breath, "ugh it's fine Mr. Fenton just go take a seat next to Mr. Hamada" replies Professor Smith clearly annoyed as he waves Danny off, and before I know it Danny's sitting right next to me.

(Danny POV)
When I finally sit down I take a deep breath and just let it all out as I slump back in my seat until I hear a familiar voice, "Dude what happened?" asks Hiro leaning towards me trying not to get caught by the teacher, and I can't help but let out a little giggle, "Are you sure you want to know it's kinda ridiculous" I say leaning in as well. "Of course I want to know you know me" Hiro replies looking at me with slight smirk on his face, "Okay...well I fell in thinking about you" I say teasingly as I wink at him, "Danny please you know that doesn't work on me" says Hiro with annoyance in his voice. "Oh come on, I thought that one was good" I laugh looking at him, "all right I'll give it to you" smiles Hiro rolling his eyes, "Mr. Fenton, Mr. Hamada, if your done flirting with each other, it would nice if you two could pay attention in class" comments Professor Smith causing the class to laugh.  "Right sorry sir" we both say as we sit up straight, "Continuing on to question 23..." continues Professor Smith as he turns back to the board. For the rest of class we spent time studying for our calculus quiz, which I kind of struggled with, but it's okay I'll just study with Hiro at his place. By the end of class, for some weird reason I can't help but look in Hiro's direction and see him sleeping; it was then that I realize how peaceful he looks. "Hiro...Hiro get up" I whisper gently shaking him, "Hmm...what?" answers Hiro slowly waking up, just then the Professor walks over to us, "Mr. Hamada it's time to wake up" says Professor Smith slamming a calculus book on Hiro's desk. "Aahh,..oh sorry sir" exclaims Hiro jumping awake, "Wait where is everyone?" he asks, "They all left, class ended like 5 minutes ago" I explain before grabbing my backpack and walking over to Hiro. "Here" I say handing him his backpack, "Thanks" answers Hiro taking it from me, "No Problem, want to get some lunch" I smile pointing in the direction of the cafeteria. "Yeah sure I'm starving" , and in less than a second Hiro's grabbing my arm and yanking me away.

(Hiro POV)
As I'm yanking Danny away towards the cafeteria I hear him trying to call my name until he finally stops me, "Woah hey, what are you doing?" He asks gripping my arm and pulling me back. "Oh sorry I just wanted to get out of there, Professor Smith was giving me the death glare while you were talking to me" I say before taking his hand off my arm and continuing on our way to the cafeteria. Once we arrive in the cafeteria I see Ethan, the guy who hates me and not to mention wants to destroy my very being. "Oh no he's here time to go" I say grabbing my lunch and walking to the table where my friends are seated, "Hey! Hamada where do you think your going?" I hear behind me causing me to stop in my tracks, "H..hey Ethan what's up?" I ask turning around slowly. At this moment Ethan gets up and walks over glaring at me like I'm his worst enemy, "Oh I'll tell you what's up, you knocked me down and now you're gonna pay for it" he says grabbing my hoodie. "L..look I already said I was sorry..a..and I am but..", "Hey! let him go Popeye" I hear next to me; and as I turn to see who said it I see Danny glaring at him. "Danny, what are you doing?!" I snap at him, "Stopping him" Danny growls clenching his fists, "Haha you!, you think you can stop me new kid" laughs Ethan with anger, "The name's Danny and yeah I think I can" replies Danny with clear annoyance in his voice, "Okay then prove it" states Ethan letting go of my hoodie and walking over to Danny. "Oh no, don't listen to him Ethan he's just being cocky" I say trying to stop him, and within seconds Ethan punches Danny right in the face.

(Danny POV)
I feel a sharp pain hit my face as my body slams onto the floor, I hear muffled chattering and my cheek aches from the punch. "Danny!" I hear someone yell and looking up I see Hiro running towards me, "Danny are you okay?!", "Yeah I'm fine" I say once I regain my hearing fully, and just like that I'm back on my feet. I wipe some blood from my lip as I shake off the pain, "You have a good punch I'll give you that" I smirk, "Danny, stop" Hiro snaps grabbing my arm and pulling me back, "Sorry Hiro, but I can't do that" I reply looking at him and removing his hands from my arm, "Now move". As I tell Hiro to move my eyes flicker to glowing green causing him to back up almost immediately, "You're going down punk" Ethan says cracking his knuckles, "Okay if you say so" I smirk, then without him noticing I lift my leg and kick him right in the stomach. Ethan crouches over holding his stomach and that's when I punch him across the face sending him tumbling to the ground, "Gaahh! You little shit!" shouts Ethan holding his stomach while getting up off the floor, and at this point all the chattering turned into shouting and chanting, "Ooh that's gotta hurt" I comment with a cocky tone, once Ethan gets back up he glares at me and growls "you are so dead". I clench my fists getting ready for another attack when Professor Granville burst through the cafeteria doors, "WHAT IS THIS NONSENSE!!" she yells causing everyone to freeze up. "Professor Granville!" I exclaim with surprise to my voice, "MR. DONNISH, MR. FENTON THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!" she continues to yell while staring at us with rage, "P..Professor Granville I can explain.." I start to say walking backwards until I slip on some water causing me to fall back, "Danny!" I hear Hiro yell, then everything goes black.

(Hiro POV)
As soon as I see Danny hit the floor I run over to him immediately, "Danny!" I shout as he lays on the floor, "Crap someone help me get him up" I say lifting him up, just then Ethan reaches out to pick him up, "Not you! you're the other reason for this mess" I snap causing him to back away. "Here Hiro let me" I hear Wasabi call out as he walks towards me, "Thanks Wasabi" I smile as he picks up Danny, "Honey Lemon can you please help Wasabi?" I ask her, "Of course" and just like that Honey Lemon and Wasabi are gone. Then Professor Granville turns to look at Ethan "I'll be seeing you in my office" she snaps while glaring at him, "Mr. Hamada, you should take care of Danny, I'll call his mother", "Thank you Professor Granville" I say before heading off to my lab. As I'm running through the hall I think about how Danny stuck up for me against Ethan and I feel myself groan "what is wrong with him?"; then shaking my head to get rid of the thought I turn left towards my lab and run into Karmi, "Hiro? What are you..", "Sorry Karmi can't talk" I say cutting her off and running around her. When I finally reach my lab I burst through the doors slightly startling the others, "Sorry guys..I was..trying to get here..as fast as I could" I explain panting while trying to catch my breath, "It's alright Hiro, but there's something you should see" replies Honey Lemon looking at me before turning to Danny and pointing, "umm okay" I answer walking towards the lab table Danny is laying on, then lifting up his shirt she reveals a huge bruise on his abdomen.

(Hiro POV)
"What happened?!" I ask with terror placing my hand on the bruise, "we don't know, but look", "What?" I say looking at the bruise, "Hiro, this bruise was two times bigger when we first saw it" answers Honey Lemon looking at Hiro. "So wait are you saying he has accelerated healing or something?" I ask, "That's what we're thinking" She nods, "So, he's been awake during this? That's not possible, accelerated healing would be too much for the human body to handle and cause it to collapse, it would take up too much energy" I reply shocked at how fast Danny is healing. "Exactly" claims Honey Lemon, "Hey guys hate to break the mood but Danny kinda needs to be patched up" states Wasabi standing close to the table Danny's on, "Oh right! Hey Honey can you please grab the first aid kit" I exclaim before taking off Danny's shirt, "Of course" she replies before grabbing the kit and handing it to me, "Here you go", "Thanks" I smile before opening it and pulling out antiseptic and medical wrap. I open the antiseptic and spread it over the bruise and any other cuts I could find, "Do you know what you're doing" asks Wasabi looking at me, "Yes don't worry" I respond smiling at him before looking back down and grabbing the medical wrap, as I begin to wrap Danny's abdomen and head he makes a small groan, "Don't worry Danny you're okay" I speak softly reassuring him. Once I'm done wrapping him up I put away the first aid kit and I sit down next to him, "You guys should go to your next class, I'll stay here Granville excused me for the rest of the day" I say looking at Honey and Wasabi, "Are you sure Hiro?" asks Honey Lemon with concern, "Yeah I'm sure", "Okay then" replies Wasabi before leaving the lab with Honey Lemon following behind him, once I see them leave I look down at Danny, "Now I just wait".
