Chapter Eight | When Misery Strucks...

Third Person's POV

"Eo,Eunbyeol-ah!Who are these?"Eunha questioned Eunbyeol.

"Unnie,these are some new friends/unnies i made in class.This is Yuna Unnie which is the same aged as you and Yewon Unnie which is 1 year younger than you."Eunbyeol replied.

Instead of talking to Eunbyeol,Mingyu just walked off sadly, knowing that he won't get a chance to speak to her.

For some reason,Eunbyeol felt a pang in her heart when Mingyu turned his back towards her and left.

Timeskip~

Eunbyeol's POV

School was finally out and i was feeling lethargic but still, I didn't forget to go to Hui Oppa's class to walk home with him.

When i reached the outside of his class,his classmates told me that he had already left which made me feel a little disappointed but i immediately brushed it off,thinking that he forgot about it.

With my head hung low,i walked down the stairs to the school gate hoping to see Hui Oppa waiting for me there.

To my horror,i saw him hugging with Soojin...

I was heartbroken...

A wave of emotions engulfed me...

I was betrayed by him...,the person i trusted with all my heart.

Soon,i felt dampness on my cheeks.

It was the rain...It was raining cats and dogs...The sky's colour clearly described my feelings now...

Gloomy... Destroyed... Dull...

Everyone soon dispersed for shelter except for me.I stood reverted to the ground,bawling my eyes out,hoping that someone would come here to comfort me and end my misery.

Then he came...

Suddenly,i no longer felt droplets of rain falling onto my hair anymore.Rather than feeling cold and unwanted,i felt comforted and hopeful at this time...

Because of him reaching out to me with his umbrella and warm comforting hug...It made me feel wanted in this cruel world.

"I will hold your hands in this cruel world,trust me."He comfortingly reassured me.

I started bawling my eyes out while clutching onto his shirt.

After I've calmed down,i whispered,"I'm sorry,i love you..."

I was pretty sure that he heard nothing so we started walking and he asked what happened.

I told everything that happened to me and he suggested that i go to his house to clean up before going home because his house was nearer.

Mingyu's POV

I was about to leave the school until it started raining so i took out my umbrella and started walking.

But then i got stopped on my tracks because i saw an awfully familiar back view sobbing miserably.

Without thinking further,i went up to her,put the umbrella over her head and gave her a warm reassuring hug.
