The snow wouldn't stop falling, the boy's face was still aching thanks to the beating that the others just unleashed upon him.
His limbs ached, his arms covered in marks.
His feet kept sinking into the snow up to the knees, but this was not going to stop him, he just kept walking and walking.
The time went by and he was completely aware of the fact that he was lost. The food was over and he was starting to feel the hunger again.
Trying to relieve his crave, he kept drinking water non-stop, but that wasn't working very well.
He lost the track of time. There was three days since he left? Or was it five? He didn't know anymore and he was freezing.
   The hunger.

The hunger was the only thing on his mind.
   - Boy...-
He stoped and looked around him. No one was there, who said that?
-...- he stood still for half a minute and heard nothing more-...must have been my imagination.
He started walking again and after a few more steps he heard it once more.
   - Boy...come here...- the voice was raspy, like that of a very old man.
   - Where are you?!- he screamed.
   - Follow...my voice...
Reluctantly, the boy slowly went for the direction of the voice
   - The two of us...- the voice said again-...want the same thing.
   He started walking faster.
   - You...want to eat...don't you...?
   Now the boy was running.
He kept running until he tripped and fell.
As he got up again, a bit confused, his vision focused on what was right in front of him.
A corpse, a human corpse, just laying there, motionless.
   - What the fuck...
   - It...is...food...
Now the voice sounded like it was right above him.
He looked around again but there was still nothing there.
   - What are you?!?!
He started running again, desperate, holding his mouth trying not to puke. The sun light was beggining to fade and the trees around him looked like giant black spikes poking out of the whiteness of the snow. He needed to find a shelter.
He searched a little and finally found a little cave that was not too deep. He organized all of his things to camp there and layed down.
In no time he was sleeping, but images of the corpse kept jumping on his head.
What would the taste be like?
I bet that it is delicious.
   Won't it be rotten?
I am taking care of it for you.
   His eyes opened.
Without thinking he got up and ran as fast as he could back to the corpse, even though he had no idea of how he remembered where it was.
There it was. Now that he looked again he realized it was a woman.
   Eat.
   - What...
   Eat.
   - Who is talking?!
   Eat.
   - How could I eat an human?!
   You are hungry, aren't you?
   - I am but...it is still an human!
   Eat.
   - I can't!
   Eat.
   - I WON'T!
   EAT NOW.
   - NO, I DON'T WANT TO!
   EAT.
   EAT.
   EAT.
   EAT.
   EAT.
   EAT.
His head was aching more and more by the second.
He couldn't stand no more of this.
The corpse seemed to be so tasty. He couldn't think straight.
   His stomach started making noises.
   - AAAAAARGGGHHH!!!
He fell on his knees and took the leg in his hand, giving a generous bite on the thigh.
After this, his mind entered in a complete state of euphoria.
The blood was dripping from his mouth and he couldn't stop.
He kept eating...and eating...and eating...until there was nothing left to eat.
When he finally stopped all of his clothes were covered in the red liquid.
   That's when it started.
   - AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRHG!!!!
A loud ringing noise penetrated his ears.
The skin on his face started melting, revealing his skull. All of the content of his head was melting and pouring out of the cranial cavities. He couldn't see it, but in the place of his brain now was a orbe of turquoise energy, pure mana, and in the middle of which eye cavity there was a single point of that energy, now serving as his eyes. Deer-like horns grew from the sides of his head.
His body started deforming and to get bigger. The rest of his skin was still there, but now with a marble-like grey tone. Black fur grew around his neck, he got really tall and skinny, acquiring a sickly appearence. Claws grew out of his fingers.
His conscience slipped in the dark...
He wasn't capable of processing thoughts...
There was only one thing in his mind...

   Where was the next meal?
