It was early in the morning.
   - So...- Lizbeth started while putting many books in one of the tables of the Library -...how far does your knowledge about magic goes?
   - Huh...I guess you use conjurements to create Spells
   - So, basically nothing?
   - Precisely.
   Lizbeth sighed in discontent.
   - Ok, the use of Mana in combat is separated in three Primary Classes: Warrior, Rogue and Sorcerer. We won't get into any details of the first two. Inside of each Class there are Specialization areas, there is plenty of ways which Mana can be used to change it's surrounding environment. Among the Specialization areas of the Sorcerer Class there are Caster, Alchemist, Druid, Summomer, Illusionist and Necromancer, each one of those strands uses Mana in a different way in it's favor in a combat. The Sorcerer Class is the one which uses Mana in the most malleable way, in other words, you can enjoy more than one of the strands at the same time, which is something harder in other Classes.
   - For example...?
   - While a Knight would suffer to adequate to the ways of a Barbarian, I, for example, can get great results as Caster, Summoner and Alchemist, all at the same time.
   - Ah, I get it.
   - Ok, enough of this mumbo jumbo. The reason for me to explain all of this is for you to choose which of the "magical arts" or with which one you have more affinity, but this is later. The first steps when you wish to enter in the Sorcerer Class in most of the times through the Caster Subclass, since Spells are fundamentally easier to comprehend and put it into practice. Here.
Lizbeth came around the table and climbed on the bench where Ellioth was sitting.
   - Get up.
Hesitant, he obeyed. Lizbeth turned his body to the other side and held his hands from behind. She made him hold just his index and middle finger up in the right hand and put it on the side of his ribs. The other hand, with open palm and the fingers shut, she held out over his head, as if he was asking for someone to stop.
She is really close, I can even smell her perfume...
When Ellioth realized where his thoughts were going, he shook lightly his head to concentrate.
Her skinny hands were holding his arms smoothly. Looking closely, she used many silver rings. Her nails were painted with black nail polish. Everything combined with her black and silver dress, giving a magnificent contrast with her golden eyes.
   - Hey, did you hear what I said?!
Ellioth realized he had been ignoring her last words completely for being distracted by her beauty.
   - A-Ah, sorry, come again, please?
   - Pay atencion. Light is just electromagnetic waves, waves that our eyes can capture. I need you to focus, feel the Mana waves transforming and changing the length of the eletromagnetics waves in the palm of your left hand to produce light.
   - I...what?
   - Come on, you can see the Mana waves in the air right?
   - Yes...everything is so colorful...
   - So, the most part of this Mana that you are seeing is actually exhaling from you. Thanks to the Dragon you devoured. You are overflowing with this energy.
   - I...
Ellioth focused. He was starting to get it.
He could feel the waves, first those from the magic energy that was exhaling from his body, and then the electromagnetic waves floating in the air. He couldn't see them, but he could feel it.
The Mana waves started to twitch.
   - Yes! That's it! Now, say Illuminate!
   - Alright...Illuminate!
The palm of Ellioth's hand started to exhibit an own light. The light kept getting stronger. A white flash filled their vision. The entire Library was lit up.
   - Easy, easy!
Lizbeth's scream made Ellioth lose his focus.
   - I'm....sorry...I couldn't control myself.
   - I should've known that. A Wendigo's body isn't made to hold on the amount of Mana that you absorbed from the Dragon. We will have to take a step in the Forge, I think that there will be something we can use in the warehouse.
After going to the elevator and going down to the Fourth Floor, they walked all the way to the warehouse.
   - Here, I think this will be good.
Lizbeth handed a little silver ring to Ellioth. It had a red ruby in the shape of a goat carved in it.
   - What is this for?
   - This, my dear Elly, has two effects. It is enhanced with Greater Domain, so it will let you handle better the way your Mana flows, in and out of your body. Thanks to that, it will hide your aura, so sensitive people won't be able to feel or measure your power.
Ellioth put it in the middle finger of his right hand.
   - Oh...will I be able to use Spells then?
   - Not yet, I think you will need a few more things...
Lizbeth kept searching in the shelfs of the warehouse, passing by a lot of interesting items.
   - Here!
The woman took a wooden box in her hand. It was filled with necklaces.
   - This one is is enhanced with Upper Focus. I don't think that I need to explain what it does. Here.
She tied the necklace with a yellow cristal on his left horn.
   - Hehehe, you look cute.
   - Don't mess with me!
   - Hahaha, seriously, you can leave it there.
   - Humpf.
   - Here, this other one, it has Upper Sharpening, it will enhance the precision of your Spells.
She tied the necklace with a little piece of carved wood in the shape of an eagle in his right horn.
   - Also, this one, it has Curse Diminisher. The Dragon you ate is keeping your hunger down, but it won't last forever. I'll give you food, but you don't need to feel that starvation again.
She tied the necklace with a tiny leaf of oak made out of silver in his right horn again.
   - Now, just to finish it, this one more...
She took a necklace out of her pocket. It was different from the others, it wasn't made of some wood fiber, it was made of metal, gold. The tiny jewelry tied to it had the shape of a golden snake with an ametist ingrown on it's eye.
   - What does this one have?
   - This one...is just a gift.
She put the necklace around his neck, slowly letting go of the jewelry as she caressed his chest.
She looked him in the eyes and smiled.
   - Now, let's grab you a wand, shall we?
   - What? All this things weren't enough?
   - Well, you see, a Sorcerer doesn't really need to use an instrument to use magic, but for someone who is just learning a wand is better to channel your Mana.
   - Oh...and a staff?
   - Staffs are better to perform Spells of the highest tiers. They multiply the capacity of someone's Mana.
   - Oh, I get it now.
Lizbeth searched a bit more in the shelfs of the dark warehouse unitl she found a tiny and long box.
   - Yeeees, here it is. I was searching for this one specifically.
Inside of the box was a wand made out of some kind of dark green jewel. It wasn't straight, the one third of which belonged to the tip was arched in a weird way, like if it was an "Y", but with one of the upper traces missing. The base had a sculpture that seemed to be three claws, but it wasn't detailed. The entire object was made in a way that it seemed to be carved in the jewel. It was not polished.
   - And...why this one, specifically? I don't want to be rude, but it doesn't seem to be really well made.
   - Don't let it's appearance mislead you. It's even older than me, it's made out of green jade, I really suffered to get this in the middle of the Great Abyss, you know.
  - What?! In the Great Abyss?!
   - Exactly.
   - How did you even return from there?!
   - Hehehe, that's a story for another day. Here, take it.
As soon as his cold and long pale fingers touched the wand, he realized that he neglected the object. There was something ancient there, a truly deep power.
   - I don't really know the properties of this wand, but you can feel it, don't you?
   - Yes...
   - Well, now that we are ready, let's start your lessons, Elly!
   - Perfect.
