Edward Elric gets punished by his teacher, Izumi Curtis, and is sent to be on the abandoned island that he and Alphonse once were on as kids. Envy happens to be there, and when he discovers that Edward is there, he decides to have some fun with him...
"And you will stay there if you know what's good for you!" Izumi Curtis yelled at Edward. "Once you've learned your lesson, we'll come back for you!"
Edward lifted his head from the beach, sand covering him everywhere. "Teacher..." he said meekly.
Izumi gave him a death glare. "YOU DARE CHALLENGE ME?"
Edward stood up quickly. "NO! NOT AT ALL! Winry...? Al...? A little help?!"
Alphonse and Winry were sitting in the boat, showing no signs of helping Edward.
"Gee... thanks guys..." Edward sat on the ground defeated. He couldn't believe that he was back on the abandoned island that he and Al once roamed years ago for training. This time it was for punishment. And he was doing it alone.
Izumi tossed Ed a knife. She gave a loud grunt and told Al to start rowing.
Winry didn't say anything and just stared straight ahead at the ocean.
Al looked up. Though unable to show any emotion in his face, Edward could tell Alphonse was giving him a pitiful look.
Edward listened to the sound of clanking armor as Al rowed teacher and Winry back home. Ed shook his head and cursed. This was delaying him from getting him and Al's bodies back.
Ed wandered around the island staring at everything blankly with no motivation to do anything. He finally ended up back at the beach.
Ed stared at the setting sun as it settled over the ocean. "Dammit..." he muttered repeatedly.
He listened to the waves as they crashed against the sand. Under different circumstances, this island might've been a relaxing get-a-away. As peaceful as it was at the moment, there was a feeling of uneasiness in the air. He almost felt like there was a... pair of eyes trained down on him. He looked up behind him at the cliff. All he saw was the shadow of a palm tree.
"Whatever." Edward said to himself. He already knew for a fact there was no one else on this island besides him and a couple of animals and trees.
Little did he know, a violet-eyed homunculus was watching him.
Perched on a cliff overlooking the beach the homunculus smirked. "My, my. What's the fullmetal pipsqueak doing here?"
He laughed. "Might as well have some... fun with him."
