"What did you just say?"
The secret was out; he knows I'm in love with him. I panic, knowing I'm about to lose the job with the only man I ever loved. Might as well go out with a bang, right?
"I'm in love with you, Ivo, and I have been since we first met. When you kissed me yesterday, for a moment... I thought you felt the same. I suppose I was wrong. Sorry, I'll go now."
I turn to leave, tears finally streaming down my face.
"Wait... don't leave."
My body tenses; he actually stopped me from leaving. I glance over at him.
"Stone, come here."
I completely face him, preparing for what is next to happen. He stands up, walking over to me. When he is merely inches away from me, he speaks; there is a shake in his usually focused voice.
"I love you, too."
