*Katie's POV*

I woke up I was lying on the floor I felt a gush of wind hit my face, I looked around but there was nobody in the house, I went outside but there was nobody anywhere, what was going on ?

*Stefan's POV*

"I'm sorry son, we couldn't save her," someone said, I burst out into tears, the nurse walked away from me and I stood up and walked out of the hospital, I bumped into someone on the way,

"Stefan what's wrong?" Bonnie, Scott and Dan asked me, I pushed straight through them and didn't say one word, I don't understand why this has to happen to me

"Stefan wait!" Scott shouted grabbing my arm, I felt like throwing him but remember what happened last time with John, I just stopped and put my hands on my head trying not to look him in the eyes and then Bonnie and Dan walked up to me,

"Stefan what's wrong? Seriously," Bonnie said making me look at her, I looked at everyone else they were all staring at me,

"It's Katie, she's..." I said and then stopped, Bonnie removed her hands off my face and put them on hers, she started crying and so did the others,

"I'm sorry," I said and then walked off quickly,

*Bonnie's POV*

I hugged Dan, he was crying and so was Scott, my bestfriend is gone for real this time, Dan let go of me and looked at Scott, he was standing in the corridor with his hands on his head, I walked over to him and hugged him

"Come on we will go along to the room," I said and Scott nodded and we went over to the room and Dan caught up to me, where is Alice and Ty when you need them,

Once we reached the room we all sat on the chairs, it was only us three I don't know where the other are but I couldn't get the fact that Katie's gone out of my head,

"Mr Salvatore?" A doctor came out of the room and shouted looking at us three, I stood up and walked over to him I was nearly in tears again,

"Um he's had to go somewhere I can ring him and get him back if you want," I said and the doctor nodded and went back into the room I pulled my phone out of my pocket and dialled Stefan's number and rang, it rang a few times before he answered,

"Stefan?" I said but there was no reply, after a about 10 seconds I decided to talk again, "um Stefan if you can hear me, ermm the doctor wants to see you I don't know what about but just come back quickly um bye," I said and put the phone down and put it back in my pocket, Scott jumped up and walked along the corridor,

"Scott wait..." I said trying to run after me but Dan grabbed my arm, I tried fight him off but he was too strong so I just gave up,

"Hey Bonnie just give him some space, " Dan said letting go of my arm, I nodded and sat back down,

*Scott's POV*

I went to the reception desk to find my mom, I stood at the desk while the receptionist was on the phone, I was going to wait but I couldn't be arsed to wait, I roamed the corridors looking for my mom until I finally found her,

"Scott? What are you doing?" My mom asked me walking over to me, I looked up at her

"Hey what's wrong?" She said but I didn't say anything I just hugged her tightly, we stayed like that for a while until I let go of her,

"It's Katie, she's dead," I said and then I started crying again,

"Aw son it'll be alright, I have to go I have a patient to get too ill find you soon, ok?" She said and I nodded and walked off to find somewhere quiet to sit,

*Stefan's POV*

I went back to the hospital to see what the doctor wanted, I was already all the way at the house so I jumped in my car and drove off,

When I arrived at the hospital, I parked my car up and got out slowly, I had so much in my mind that I wanted to get rid of, I wish I could just forget that I met Katie but then again I don't, I walked really slowly like I was in a day dream, once I arrived at the end of the corridor, I spotted Bonnie and Dan sitting in the chairs but Scott wasn't there,

I picked up my speed a bit and then I sat in the seat next to Dan, I didn't speak to them and they didn't steak to me, I waited for the doctor, I started tapping my knee impatiently I realised I do that when I'm nervous,

About 10 minutes later, the doctor came out of the room,

"Has Mr Salvatore arrived yet?" He said and I stood up and walked over to him,

"Yeah that's me," I said and I walked into the room after him, I saw her body, lying there cold and lifeless I wanted to cry but I didn't,

"Yeah what did you need me for?" I asked standing infront of the doctor, he had a clipboard in his hand,

"Ok so, before Katie passed on, she said she has a message for you that she wanted me to give to you," he said handing me a note it was folded into little pieces, on the front it said Stefan with a heat and a kiss, I didn't unfold it I just placed it in my pocket,

"Thanks," I said wiping tears from under my eyes, I went back outside and sat in the chair, Bonnie and Dan were both staring at me,

"You ok Stef ?" Dan asked, I pulled the note and looked at it, I felt his hand on my shoulder, I nodded still staring at the note and stood up,

"I better get going, see Damon and tell him what's happened," I said and Bonnie stood up and hugged me, I closed my eyes and put my arms around her,

"Stay strong Stefan, she loved you so much and she would hate to see you letting your life fall apart," she said and I nodded I was going to stay strong because I know Katie is on the other side watching our every move,

"Ok I'll see you later," I said giving off a fake smile and then I walked slowly around to the exit,

*Scott's POV*

I sat in the lift, it was quiet nobody came in very often, I didn't know what to do, and then I remember Allison. shit. I pulled my phone out and scrolled through my contacts,i saw katies name with our photo and I started crying,

I stopped not long after and clicked on Allison and rang her, it took a few beeps before she answered

"Hey Scott are you ok?" She said, I was silent and closed my eyes,

"Yeah um can I come over?" I asked tilting my head back until it hit the wall,

"Yeah of course I'm in now so come whenever you like, I'll see you soon," Allison said and then put the phone down before I could say anything else, I got up and clicked the button on the lift and it opened I walked out and looked for the main entrance,

*Katie's POV*

I looked around everywhere, I couldn't find any of my friends, the house was empty, Scott wasn't in Bonnie, Dan, Alice and Ty weren't in either. I was really confused why was nobody around. Damon and Dj weren't in either so where could everyone be?

A few hours later, I saw someone walking around the streets, I ran up to him,

"Excuse me, um hi I'm Katie, do you know where anybody else is I can't find my friends anywhere?" I asked him,

"Hi my names Josh, no I haven't saw anyone when was the last time you saw your friends?" He asked and then I remembered,

"Nice to meet you Josh and I was in my house with lots of my friends, I remember loosing my vision and then everything went white but my friends wouldn't have left me especially my boyfriend," I said and he looked at me with a mysterious look,

"Katie can I just say, are your friends alive?" He asked, I was so confused why on earth was he asking me this,

"Yeah of course they are just like us two why would you ask that?" I asked him, he looked towards the floor and looked back at me

"Katie your on the other side, Katie your dead." he said,
