The carpet comes to a stop at the side of the entrance, attracting many passers-by. My heart would have picked up by the eyes on me if it wasn't already beating a fast staccato beat.
As soon as we get off, the carpet rolls up and perches by itself against a wall. My brows furrow when Zacturre starts leaving without it.
"What about the carpet?" I gesture to it.
"What about it?" He turns to me.
"Won't it get stolen? You know, someone might just take it..."
"It won't." With that, he turns and resumes walking. Stunned by his answer, I jog up next to him.
"It won't?"
"It won't." He leaves it at that and enters straight into the theme park. Bright lights envelop me as I follow and the cheery music gets louder each step I take.
I thought it was strange when he just walks into the park. I see everyone else doing the same. Striding in without lining up for anything. "There are no tickets here? This is a bit too good to be true."
"You don't need to pay for tickets," Zacturre explains as he leads us to a store with articles, magazines and souvenirs. "For this kinds of things, we use limitations. For example, if you play non-stop for 12 hours, you would be exempted from playing for the next 7 days."
"How does one get exempted?"
"Card." He points to my resume tag lying on my chest. "It becomes invalid. You need to use your card to play this sort of stuff, like theme parks, cinemas and those sorts."
"Why?"
Zacturre throws me an annoyed look while picking a brochure from a shelf. "Otherwise, how are other people going to have the chance to play? There is still something call queuing up here. Now, stop with the questions. Where should we go first?"
He opens up the brochure which shows the map of the theme park and passes it to me. I inspect it closely. It isn't hard to see since there are lights everywhere. One thing I can tell is that the park is big.
Like huge.
There are so many attractions to go to and all of them look so exciting. I don't think many of them, maybe all, even existed on earth.
"I don't know," I mumble, a bit overwhelmed by how many attractions there are.
"So you're saying you want to go to all of them." Zacturre deadpans.
I laugh. "Considering how many rides there are and the amount of time to queue up, it'll take days just to get through half of them. I guess we can try the ones with the least people first? Or maybe-Hey!"
The paper is snatched out of my hand and I glare at Zacturre.
"We'll go for everything. Can't have spoiled little rich girl sulk when we head back, can we?"
"How are we going to every- Wait, how do you know I was from a rich family?" I furrow my brows.
"Your resume said it. Duh. I saw it when I flipped through." He tells me.
"You saw that but you didn't see my name on the first page?" I blatantly point out the fact when he didn't know my name in the planetarium and he looks taken aback.
"Maybe. Or maybe I did and forgot the next second." Zacturre tries to defend himself.
"Uh-huh."
"Anyway, you better not make the same mistake as yesterday. You have to call me Zac, you hear me?" He whacks the brochure on my head before placing it back onto the stands.
