Jackson's POV
It's never been a secret that I wasn't the strongest hunter at beacon. Hell I haven't even unlocked my semblance. But nothing... nothing could've prepared me to go through that door.
Earlier at Port's
"Mr. Vasilek, would you like to try to defeat a beowulf? Good! Go get your weapons" Port said in quick succession, leaving the chance to answer in some other place.
The disappointed crowd seemed to perk up at the thought of me getting annihilated by a simple beowulf
I had started to get up and walk to the locker room, only for Jaune to trip me on my way down, causing me to fall into the last person I'd have wanted to. Weiss Schnee.
"EWW YOU ABSOLUTE MUTT GET OFF!" She yelled while pushing me away.
"S-Sorry" I stuttered out, getting my bearings. After which I started to 'sprint' to the locker room, my tail almost literally between my legs, and grab the single bladed axe that I called Crescent Eclipse.
Looking in the mirror at my relatively sleep deprived face, longer unkept red hair, and dull blue eyes.
Man... I need to visit Pyrrha...
On my way back, I entered the room, twirling the axe in my hand. The Beowulf could sense the emotions flowing from me. The sadness, the fear... the hatred.
Port swung his blunderbuss axe against the lock, freeing the creature that soon charged at me.
Going for my best option, I led forward with a down slash... except the axe was stuck in the carpeted flooring. After getting it free, I had to dodge, throwing my body out of the way. The crowd let out a few laughs, except for Mauve and the Twins, Elaine and Marisol, who looked on with sympathy.
I hated when they did that. When they gave me those pitiful looks. Turning back to the Beowulf, it was gone. A pile of dust was positioned in the middle of the room, smoke flowing from the corpse and Port's Blunderbuss.
"Mr. Vasilek, when I said you'd fight, I meant fight, not sit around and get beat by a measly beowulf." Port criticized, while I got up and started walking away from the laughing crowd, leaving as the bell rang ending the day.
After leaving the locker room, I was met with team WBY, who stood outside the door, a crowd surrounding all exits.
"Excuse me." I mumbled, trying to push through them, only for Yang to set her hand on my shoulder.
"I don't recall giving you permission to leave." She said with a grin before throwing me back towards the door.
"Is this really necessary? Like do we need to do this? Can't I just go to my dorm and do this some other time?" I start pleading, getting more and more desperate.
"Shush, I can't believe they'd let a Faunus like you here. I mean, Blake is strong, but you? You shouldn't be here." Weiss stated, starting to file her nails.
I started to slide down the door, accepting the predicament I was in. Until my metaphorical knights in shining armor appeared.
Elaine and Marisol pushes through the crowd, Mauve following close behind shoving people aside.
"Alright. That's enough." Mauve commanded, the crowd quickly dispersed to avoid the massive being. Blatant Accusation, sheathed on his back,
"Oh hello Mauve" Weiss' tune changed as she looked at him.
"Hey." He said while looking towards me, Elaine going to help me up. She lifted me up, holding her arms under mine, my left arm sling over her shoulder.
"Would you possibly like to go ou-"
"No." He cut her off before adding to it. "Nor would I ever."
"And why?" Weiss asked seemingly 'heartbroken'.
"Because, you ridicule my teammate, you push him further and further away from his old self, and you refuse to help him get better." Mauve states taking a step with each point. He eventually is staring down at her, his left eye glowing slightly.
"H-He's just a weakling, shouldn't be here." Yang states while looking at the behemoth of a Faunus.
He simply lets out a growl, low and threatening in its depth, before turning on his heel to join Marisol and Us.
They decided I should see my girlfriend and helped me to JNPR's dorm. Upon arrival, moans could be heard from the other side.
"N-No... no. no. NO!" I start shouting before opening the door, revealing Jaune and Pyrrha going at 'it'. "You... I can't.... why. Why?" I ask, my hands trembling.
"It's not you, actually, it is you." Pyrrha says, continuing like I wasn't watching her be unfaithful.
"Can you leave? We're doing something more important" Jaune states with his snarky grin.
Complying with what he said, I start to leave.
This dammed school has broken down my spirit. My personality. Who was I? Who was I before I came to this school without my semblance.
"Hey, you ok man?" Mauve asks me, his once rough and stoic voice replaced by worry.
"Y-Yea I'll be fine..." I state, walking on my own now. They were right... I shouldn't be here
