THE NOTE

"What happened" Jaece said trying to catch his breath. DJ breathed heavily behind Jaece as he looked at Jaeces father.

"Ma had a heart attack" Jaeces dad said with a shaky voice "we gotta go get Zo and go to the hospital."

Jaece froze and next he knew he seen black.

Jaece had passed out. DJ caught Jaece as he fell. The thought of his mother dying crossed his mind and made him faint. He couldn't take the pain of his mom leaving him. Everything he did was for his parents and losing them before he successfully became a businessman was his worse fear.

"Yo J" DJ said as he shook Jaece.

"Jaece" Jaeces father said as he tapped his sons face. Teachers, and counselors surrounded Jaece asking if he was okay and to call the nurse.

Jaece felt an ice pack on his head. He opened his eyes and seen his dad in front of him. He looked up and seen that DJ held him in his lap.

"You good bro" DJ asked as he seen Jaece open his eyes.

"Uhh yeah man" he said as he tried to get up. His dad helped him up and grabbed his backpack.

"C'mon we gotta go get Zo" his dad said as he walked out the office with Jaeces bag.

"I'm coming too" DJ said to Jaeces father. His dad nodded his head and continued walking. Jaece and DJ followed after Jaeces dad and made their way to Enzos school.

"Can you go in and get him for me DJ" Jaeces dad said "I gotta talk to Jaece real quick."

"Yeah I gotchu" DJ said and got out the car. When DJ made it to the school door Jaeces dad looked at Jaece.

"Dont tell Zo nothing yet. I didnt even know you'd react like that so who knows how Zo's gonna be" he said.

"So what, are we telling him when we get to the hospital" Jaece asked. He didnt know the news would affect him the way it did either, so he agreed on keeping it from Enzo.

"Yeah, that's the only way he gon stay calm" Jaeces dad replied. Shortly DJ walked out with Enzo. Enzo wore an all black tshirt, blue jeans, and black, red, and white Jordan 11's. His hoodie was black with the red Polo symbol. He held his Sprayground backpack in his hands as he walked to the car. He got in the quiet car and looked at his dad, and Jaece.

"What happened" he asked as he seen the looks on their face.

"Nothing" his dad said and started to drive.

"So why ya come get me, where ma at" Enzo asked as he sat back and pulled his phone out.

"Cause we gotta go somewhere" his dad said.

"Okay but where ma at? She not coming with us" he asked.

"Nah" his dad said as he clenched the steering wheel.

"Why not" Enzo asked.

"Zo stop asking so many fuckin questions" his dad said frustrated.

"My bad" he said as he pulled out his Airpods and put them in his ear. They drove to the hospital and parked. Enzo looked up and seen they were at his moms job.

"We was going to get ma, why you ain't just tell me" Enzo said as he smiled and put his Airpods in their case and in his pocket.

"Cause we not coming to get her, we coming to see her. She had a heart attack" Jaeces dad said as he looked through the mirror at Enzo. Enzos face instantly went from happy to sad. He shoved his phone in his pocket and opened the car door. He ran towards the front entrance as Jaece, his dad and DJ got out.
