REVENGE

"AYO" a man yelled.

Shortly after, bullets started flying towards the crowd. People scattered everywhere and the group ran into the restaurant.

"Ahh" a girl moaned.

They looked and saw Zhane laying on the floor with a bullet wound to the chest.

"NO" Eulani yelled as she ran to her friends side.

"Shit" Quan said quietly as he called 911.

Jaece was by the door ducking, looking towards the direction the bullets came from. He seen the man who shot at them and quickly recognized him. He stood up and seen Zhane on the floor and ran by Eulani's side.

Screams and cries filled the restaurant as people saw Zhane on the floor. DJ and Avielle ran to Zhane's side with Eulani. They all picked her upper body up and slid her onto Eulani's lap.

"Nae look at me" Eulani said as she lifted her friends head up.

"Lani... I'm scared..." she cried softly. Blood covered her all white tee and she felt herself getting weaker every second. She mentally calmed herself down so she didnt panic. Thoughts ran through her head as she seen everyone around her crying.

"I dont wanna die" she thought.

Eulani was crying along with DJ and Avielle. The ambulance arrived and EMTs put Zhane onto a stretcher. She looked around and seen all her friends by her. Eulani, DJ, Avielle, Quan And Jaece were right by her. Eulani held Zhane's hand as they rolled her to the truck. Eulani told Quan she was staying with Zhane, and climbed into the ambulance.

"What hospital are ya taking her to?" DJ asked EMTs while Avielle called Zhane's parents.

"Montefiore Medical" the EMT told DJ as he closed the door of the ambulance. The ambulance quickly drove off with its sirens going off loudly.

DJ turned to Quan and told him where they were taking Zhane. They climbed in the car and rushed to the hospital.

When they got there they seen Eulani in the waiting room. She told them that Zhane was in surgery. Luckily the bullet didnt hit any main arteries, and went straight through. Zhane lost a lot of blood, and almost died on the way to the hospital. EMTs were able to revive her and keep her stable. Eulani stayed by her side holding her hand the whole ride. She witnessed Zhane nearly lose her life.

"I'm so sorry Lani" Quan said as he rushed to his sister.

"Its not your fault, and I'm sure Zhane feels the same" she said as he stood in front of her.

"Yeah well I hope her moms and dad do too" said Quan with a sad tone. He felt bad for Zhane. She was like a sister to him just like Eulani. They all grew up together even though he graduated while they were in their freshman year.

About five minutes later Zhane's parents rushed in and ran to Eulani when they seen her in the waiting room.

"What's going on, where's my baby" Zhane's mother cried in a thick Spanish accent.

"The doctors said she gonna be fine, the bullet went straight through but she lost a lot of blood" Eulani explained to her bestfriends mom. Tears filled her eyes as she remembered the EMTs reviving Zhane.

Zhane's father seen the pain in Eulani's eyes and hugged her. She was his daughter just as much as Zhane was. From his beliefs Eulani was Zhane's only friend. He liked DJ and Avielle but Eulani was with Zhane through everything, including her 3 years of severe depression. DJ and Avielle were there but Eulani never left Zhane's side, and by the time they got to high school Zhane was a completely different girl. Eulani helped her with her confidence, and encouraged Zhane to be herself, no matter who didnt like it. She's part of the reason why Zhane is so blunt.
