(*Kimi-chan134 This is Yugyeom dog sitter, Youngjae flower shop owner with coco :). I know absolutely nothing about flower shops or flower care so pls keep in mind that this is based off of my yearly visit to the flower shop to help my dad pick out some flowers for my mom-*)

Ah, it's around 5000+ words btw, just in case that affects when you make time to read it lol.

"I think the roses over there would really impress her-"

Youngjae was rudely interrupted by the sound of loud yapping from behind him. He looked down, sighing as his eyes rested upon his little white dog running around his feet.

"Ah, sorry..." He mumbled to the customer that was searching for a nice bouquet to purchase for his and his wife's anniversary. Youngjae turned to briefly appease his puppy that refused to let him work peacefully. "CoCo~ Daddy's working, shh."

"I think I'll take the roses." The customer decided.

Youngjae spun back around, smiling at the man who couldn't take his eyes off the arrangement of flowers Youngjae had meticulously put together for such occasions. "Ah, perfect. Let me trim them for you, would you like a vase too?"

"No thanks-"

Barking interrupted the customer again, both him and Youngjae doing their best to ignore the noise.

"Alright, I'll take care of them." Youngjae took the bouquet out of its glass, rushing to the back through a set of curtains that hung atop a door frame to separate it from the front of the small store in order to fetch a pair of scissors to trim the bottom of the flowers. CoCo followed him, and just to keep her out the way, he lifted the tiny dog and placed her on a table where he could see her. "CoCo, you're really being burdensome, it's so hard for Daddy to take you to work when you're being such a noisy girl."

CoCo barked in response.

"Yeah, I know you didn't ask to be here, but I refuse to leave you all alone."

The dog barked again, then whimpered.

"Pout all you want, I need to run my business." Youngjae retorted, glancing over at the dog that literally was serving him puppy eyes. He patted her head a few times before finishing up the trimming. "Stay here and lay down. quietly please."

Youngjae turned away and walked back to the counter. As soon as he left, he heard a bark come from behind him. He let out a sigh, wondering why he ever expected his stubborn baby to listen.

"Here you go sir, that's $25." He handed the bouquet to the man who already held $30 in hand, taking the money and quickly dolling out his change. "Thank you for your business, have a nice day."

"You too."

Youngjae watched the customer leave before walking back through the curtains and leaning forward on the counter with a heavy sigh. He heard the faint padding of feet and jingle of a collar behind him, his little CoCo trotting up to his feet and whining. Youngjae looked down at her, shaking his head.

"Look girl, Daddy can't pay attention to you all the time." He bent down, lifting the small furball into his arms. He set her on the counter, wagging a finger in her face. "I told you to stay put, please CoCo. I'm gonna water the plants now, don't move."

Youngjae turned to fetch a watering bucket off of a wooden shelf on the other side of the room, walking around to the plants and drizzling water into their vases. He tried to work fast, but taking care of plants wasn't a speedy process. Even in the pinch of time, he couldn't rush his work.
