Namjoon strudded the halls of their modern style mansion. His parents are probably having breakfast now, Seonghoon probably saw the chaos yesterday at his home. 7 boys in one house, deal with it.
The boys met and had a discussion about their consciousness, fears and trust towards each other. Namjoon, being the preceptive indicidual he is, thought it would be great to finally sit down as a group, as a team and find out what this bond means. They each has abilities unique to themselves but what Lee Jun said to him before stayed with him. No matter how different, outstanding or unorthodox the descendants are, they are powerful if they move as one.
A couple of nights before he had heard his father speaking with his mother. His father was a governor who worked in Swan government. Seunghoon is a calm and collected individual but that time he was human and Namjoon could not help but judge, or tweak what his father had voiced out. His mother was a Cognitive therapist so any problems with emotional responses and mindset she can help with.
It was a long interaction. He was surprised he hadn't fallen asleep outside his mother's door from the monotonous exchange. The biggest pointer he took from that gruelling session was the distrust the previous descendants had with themselves.
"I myself am guilty, I sometimes see them as competition. But to what cause exactly?" Seunghoon expressed.
"Were you ever close with each other?" Namjoon heard his mother.
"No always. No. Well some of us maybe closer to each other but.."
"I am not talking about you Kims. Blood relation aside. Yeogum and Chanyeol are your cousins right?"
"Actually I think they are my 5th generation cousins? welp the Kim clan is huge"
"What I am trying to point here is how you tolerate each other sweetie."
"We acknowledge our existence I guess, we are not chums though" Seunghoon sounded embarassed.
"Hmm you and Baekhyun are? He is Namjoon's god father." Namjoon nodded he knows this.
"Well we are the ones who usually hang out...wait I am trying to say our relationship as descendants are not so great. I want it to be more, I realized how troubling it is for us to function as one knowing we never did that before."
"What stopped you before?"
"...Ego" Seunghoon slowly answered.
"Ego? Not pride?"
"No. We have attitudes that we could have set aside for us to be solid. I guess we were immature to even realize."
"And when exactly was your turning point?"
"When I heard Park Sehun was alive, and came back. This time with proof." Namjoon who was still by the office door furrowed his brow. Park Sehun? Jimin's father? But isn't Mrs. Park a widow?
Namjoon stopped his thoughts when he heard his mother clear her throat.
"So now what is your resolution?"
"Try to bring everyone together, to right our wrongs before. And to teach the boys the value of trust, respect and ..."
"Family?"
"Family?" Seunghoon asked his wife
"What can be bred from the greatest live one could give. What could be more strong than family? Yes, our boys need to see beyond blood and recognize bond. Beyond blood, beyond pride, beyond Ego."
Namjoon left as he felt nothing else will follow the conversation. He reflected about him and the boys. He'll deal with Park Sehun later.
