Where did you go?

Todoroki POV

I walk back to the dorms in defeat. Maybe I just need to rest. I open the door to get Iida rush at me. "You know you can't run out of class like that!" He said doing his usual hand motions. "I know I'm sorry." I said sadly. "It's fine. We were all shocked by his death." He said as he put his hand on my shoulder.

We walked into the common room to see Uraraka still crying with Tsuyu and Mina comforting her on the brink of tears.

I walked behind the couch they were sitting on and patted her on the head. She turned and hugged me. I was surprised by this reaction but I hugged back. "I-I know you a-and him were close." She said through sniffles. "How are you not crying" she said tears running down her face. "I don't know." I said. "I guess I still don't believe he's dead." I answered then let her back on the couch and walked to my room.

As I was walking, Sero came up to me. "Hey, aren't you gonna eat?" "No I'm good." He asked and I answered.

I walked up and went inside. I sat down and pulled out my phone. I checked my messages. There was a couple from my father, ignore those, one from Iida telling me they started lunch, and an unknown number.

I clicked the unknown number and read the text. "Haha 1-A is stupid. If you weren't all grouped up like that then he wouldn't have been shot." I read outloud then dropped my phone. The way he died was kept a secret from the public. And the cafe was almost closed, they didn't take anymore costumers, so how?

"Who is this?" I sent. "Turn on the news" they replied. I ran down the stairs and turned on the TV in the common room, surprising everyone else who was there. "What's happening Todoroki?" Kirishima asked. The news turned on and there it was. " Hello I'm Kaseki Yuuta and I am at the Makasaki funeral direction (not a real place) where the corpse of a young boy who supposedly died this summer disappeared." On the screen it showed a picture of Midoriya.

The few that were in the common room with me were shocked. The most being Bakugou, who hasn't said a word since Midoriya was killed. "What the hell does that mean?" He questioned. As I said before Bakugou hasn't spoken a word since his childhood friend's death. He would always be deep in thought, and respond by just shaking his head yes or no. So, this caught us off guard.

"N-no way." Kirishima said, getting up from his seat. "D-do you think someone s-stole his body?" Hagakure asked. "Hello, Kaseki Yuuta here again with the security camera footage. It seems like the body just vanishes." The news lady said as a clip rolled, of a blanket with the number 209 on it over a body suddenly fell flat against the table it was on, like the body never existed.
