Numbness (the screaming silence)

7 2 1

As I'm sitting here alone
Watching the sun set
Like my world is slowly falling apart
I feel numbness in my fingers
And my muscles and all bones
Winter has crept inside my skin
And it creeps deeper into my soul
With the passage of time and date

TICK, TICK, TICK, I click my pen
Putting my diary on my lap
With the urge to write something intensely
With the urge to write my feelings down
But I feel nothing but a great silence
And hammering of the clock ticking by
The tiny hands of the tiny clock
Give away as each second goes by

There is nothing, nothing but screaming silence
And with each ticking second
It gets louder
Screaming into my head.
