Chapter Four
Harry had heard the girls speaking and making noises upstairs while he was reading in the library. On days where they didn't have anything important to do Harry would sit and read, Nova would join when she wasn't at Hogwarts and she was until she disappeared upstairs to where Lily was (Harry suspected playing in her room).
He then looked up from his book when he heard a bang, the weird part being a few minutes later neither one of his daughters came into the room telling on each other there was just silence which was suspicious.
In that moment Draco had arrived home and Harry had gotten up and greeted him "it's silent, I don't like it" Draco said after greeting his husband.
"I heard a bang a few moments ago but no sound after, I was about to go check on them" Harry replied and the couple made their way up the stairs and first looked in Lily's room seeing none of the girls in there, then Nova's they saw it empty. Harry was about to call out to them thinking they decided to play a spontaneous game of Hide & Seek when he noticed his office door open.
"I always keep the door closed"
"Are you sure? Why would they go in there? They know it's off limits Harry" Draco said worriedly. Harry had been given a time turner from Hermione to keep safe, he refused at first knowing either one of his daughters would find it and it wouldn't end well, but she insisted and that's when he had enforced the rule for them to stay out of his office. It had been 3 months and they had both obeyed.
Harry walked into the office first, he was gonna look under the desk thinking they might of hid under there when Draco tapped him on the shoulder, he couldn't form words he just pointed to the shattered time turner on the ground.
"For Merlin's sakes Harry!" Draco yelled
"It's not my fault"
"I told you it was a bad idea to keep this stupid thing inside our house, where our curious daughters are"
"look I'm sorry okay, it was going okay for the last few months"
"we should of just explained it to them, what it was, why they couldn't go in the office instead of keeping it a secret building on their curiosity. Gosh I hate that they have your curiosity and rule breaking"
"Hey"
"I'm sorry okay, I'm worried"
"You don't think I'm not worried to, this is all my fault Draco"
"We have to get Hermione" Draco said a moment later. Harry just nodded but didn't speak.
