Did he ever keep an enemy,
With the power to overthrow the king?
Well yes he had an enemy once, or twice, or thrice.
Only he knows how many.
But there was this enemy.
Who did more than just raise the king.
She became the queen.
She must have planned to kill the king at first
Something must have scared her off that path
Because she had a child or two
As far as her people knew;
They lived happily ever after.
But fear is no substitute for love.
So when the queen grew brave
She ran.
Far, far away.
Where is she now?
Well, she is where she is,
and she isn't where he is looking.
Some say she left this world, and ascended to become a true queen.
Others say that she never ran at all,
That he killed her.
So yes he kept an enemy
But he did not keep her well.
Who keeps a tiger and forgets to look the cage?
Yes perhaps he wanted her to go.
A king he is and a queen she is no longer
The queen is dead in the kings head
And who knows why he let her go.
