Is it still reality ?

Friend or enemy ?

I start to open my eyes to slowly get a sight from the unfamiliar environment around me, the world around me looks completely different as I remember it.

It doesn't feel right to be here, shouldn't I be in school right now and not in the middle of Nowhere.

As I try to get on my feet, I look around to get to know the area.
There are some huge trees around me but there wasn't this typical scent of forest around me, it smells more like sweets and library if this makes any sense.
The sky is blue purple coloured so it must be a sunset or sunrise but that doesn't make any sense either, when I was walking to school, the sun had already raised, maybe I've been kidnapped and time had passed.

But how's this even possible?
Why'd anyone want to kidnap me, I literally did nothing wrong and I don't have any enemies, maybe I was a random victim?

I was just on my way to school and then, I don't even remember what happened,I came here, to this place, what even is this place ?

I again look around me to get a closer look of the area so I set my goal, to find out where I am.

As I try to step forward, something stops me like a wave of energy and I start to fall but not for long, I land on something soft almost like a bed but as I look to the ground under me, I can see pillows placed under my body though I could swear that they weren't there a minute ago.
What stopped me though?

"How did you do that ?" a deep voice from behind asks me, kicking me out of my thoughts.
By the sound of the voice I flinch.
As I turn around my eyes fell onto a man who must be in his late 40s, he looks at me with a face in admire but fast it turns into fear?
As he looks at me, he starts running right into my way and brutally pitches us both to the ground, now there wasn't pillows or anything anymore just the hard soil we both fell on.
I start to scream and to punch around me to get free from the grip I was under by the tall man laying on me.
I feel a stabbing pain going down my spine.
„Don't move, I repeat do not move" he screams right into my face

I stop for a moment from trying to get free and do as he tells me.
I hear a strange sound from behind us what causes me to lay there holding my breath and not moving a bit. It sounds like a mixture of wing clapping and barking from puppies.

The sound becomes louder why I start to get more anxious about the situation, „Please don't start to panic, you'll see" the man tells me in a calm voice.
Before I can say anything back, something appears a few feet above us.
A swarm of some kind of creatures flying right above our heads, which causes me to open my mouth.

As I stare at those red creatures who have the same size as a German Shepard, the man slowly gets up and sits himself up so that his head is only one feet away from those creatures.
Now after a few seconds observing, it's not even scary anymore laying there, it's actually beautiful to watch them flying in their swarm.
I had never seen an animal alike to those, I really am astound.

"Those are called Ignis Volants which means fire flies, they are really rare you know" he says while gazing with awe at them.
"Where am I ?" I ask, ignoring what he just said.
"We're in the forest of desperation and desire,
what did you do in a place like that in the first place?" he asks me as if I'm mental.
"I-I was-, I don't know what I was doing here but who are you an-and those creatures, I've never heard of them neither from a forest of desperation or whatever it's called, what is this all?" I ask feared and annoyed by the fact that I've no idea where I am, I first thought of telling him more, that I was on my way to school but I'm not bloody insane to trust a complete stranger.

He frowns and looks at me with a wave of realisation and shock, he stands still and it looks like he'd smile but then it disappears again and he just stares to the ground.

One of those beings flies a bit deeper and lands on the ground beside me, I hold my breath and close my eyes to avoid the creatures present.
I then decide to open one of my eyes to see the little beast sitting next to me and staring at me, the flame he had on his back had disappeared.
It looks me straight into my face with his cute big black pouting eyes, which causes me to smile.
"Hey little one, go better back to your friends otherwise you'll get lost just like I am right now "
I tell him and chuckle a bit, even though it doesn't understand a word of what I just said.

"What's your name ? if I may ask" the man suddenly asks me while looking to the ground avoiding my gaze though I know that he looked over to me when the fire creature flew to me.
The sound of his sudden voice gives me shivers down my hurting spine I fell on.

As I observe him, I realise how he is clothed.
He has a suit on with a leather belt surrounded by small bottles and knifes,
he reminds me of someone not the clothing but the stature of his body and his blonde hair which was tied into a bun though I can't make out whom he looks similar to,
I notice a carved writing on his belt with something on it, there is an weird omen what looks like a little bunny and next to it a name on it, probably his : "Cole R.S" .

"You're a complete stranger, I think not" I answer in a polite but shaky voice.

He then looks up at me probably unsure what to say.
"Look, I know you aren't from here but if you don't trust me you'll die, here as well as in your mundane human world, you have to understand this world to be able to live in yours" he tells me while biting desperately on his lip.

"What are you trying, to make me go insane? You're crazy" I say and start to run into the woods.
I run as fast as I can, adrenaline rushing through my whole body.
"Stop, listen to me, you can't survive alone out here" he yells after me.
He screams something else but I can't really make out what it is.
"Don't tell anyone that you're human" I hear him whisper like he's in my mind.

Unable to work further, the foreign world around me starts spinning again like I'm on a Ferris wheel ,I fall onto my knees and bump on something cold and hard. I can feel the pain going through both of my knees.
Eventually my eyes get blurry and start to close whether I want it or not until I can't see anything at all anymore.
I'm freezing ,everything around me seems wet. I didn't even notice that it had rained.
I open my eyes to see where I am, aren't I supposed to be in a forest in Nowhere, but here U sit, on the filthy ground of our school toilet.
How did I come here?

I try to get up my feet,as I get up I exhale loudly.
It feels like I just ran a 20 miles marathon, I feel so exhausted.
Where's the man, no Cole was his name, where was he and the trees and those flying animals or whatever they were called.
I'm so confused, what is reality and what is not ?
Or is it both reality?
I'm honestly scared.
"Anyone in there?, are you alright?" a high pitched voice asks.
"Yeah I'm alright thanks though" I answer quietly and come out of the cabin I was locked in.
"Okay then- Oh Lena it's you, where were you the last four lessons? did you actually skip class?" She asks me in disbelief and smirks at me.
"No I didn't Lexi" I say in a cold tone and give her a fake smile while walking away.
"So where have you been then?" She whisper yells after me.
I turn around and look at her, "None of your business and besides, why would you care?" I say, walking out of the doorframe of the girls restroom, away from her.
She used to be my best friend but people change like I said.
As I walk through the halls of my school, I begin to feel pain in my knees.
I forgot that I fell in my dream? What was that world ?
Is it still reality ?
As I stumble further, there's an announcement in the halls,
"Lena-Rose Sefrey, please come into the principal's office"
Oh well, this will be fun to explain.
