Be with You

Chapter 2

Damn. I missed 5 minutes of the 2nd class but luckily i made it inside without being caught being late.
The lesson was pretty easy for me, but for others maybe not. Later the bell rang signalling it's lunch time and again everyone raced out of the class but I was last out, but as I was making my way to the cafeteria I heard my name being yelled, I was the dumb one who turned around and there and then I was face to face with Phill who was charging at me with a fist in the air, but it wasn't there for long it went across my face which made me crash down onto the hard floor.

Skylar's POV
I was walking along the corridor with my best friend Darren when we walked pass a large group of students yelling and laughing at something, I asked what was going on but know one answered me, I ended up pushing my way through the curtain of students and I saw the same girl that I saw in the corridor earlier getting beaten by a man who was much older than any of the students here, I was about to turn away but one word out of my wolf Felix stopped me in my tracks
"mate"
I was shocked, this girl was my mate and I knew I had to do something to help her. I called my father-the alpha of the nightstar pack.
"Dad?"
"Yeah son, what is the matter?"
"Nothing, it's just that I found my mate"
"That's great son, but why do you sound so worried and angry? Did I say or do something?"
"No dad, but I'll tell you when you get over here and it's serious so hurry!"
"Ok son, I'll be there soon" and then I hung up and race towards the man that was beating up my mate and threw him off of her and made sure he landed far way from her, I was at her side in know time and I was furious at what that man did to my mate, her face that was pale yet flushed was now covered in cuts and bruises, her lips that were pink as blossoms were now slightly purple and with a large split in the right hand corner of her mouth and her eyes that were honeycomb brown and full of so much life were now closed and with grey and purple rings around each eye. I heard a groan from behind me and slowly turned around and saw the man I had thrown off my mate trying to get up off the ground and take swing at me my guess is, but my father came just in time and I pointed to the man groaning in pain. My father took the man away and he turned to my mate who was lying on the cold hard ground unconscious, he asked me for my permission to tend to her of course I allowed him as he was my father after all. He did what he could and now she was just sleeping peacefully.
"Skylar, do you want to take her to the pack house and have her stay with us till she wakes and then we could explain what is going on?" I thought it over and agreed to have her stay, but I am worried about what she thinks of me and she might even reject me.
I just hope it doesn't come to that, i'll only have to pray it won't happen.
