The Struggle

Chapter 2

It's Monday morning and it's been a week since I've seen or heard from Jamie. I tried not to think about him but it was hard, because after you see someone as attractive as he was it hard not to think about him. I got out of bed and made coffee hopped in the shower. Did the everyday routine.

When I got to school I realized I was earlier then usual. So I went to my locker and decided to do something productive for about 20 minutes so I just kind of walked around the school. Which I guess now that I think about it, it's not that productive. After about 10 minutes of walking around I gave up and went to my first hour class and pulled out some homework that I didn't finish over the weekend.

5 minutes later someone stood over my desk. I looked forward and saw a Navy blue shirt and a leather jacket. When I looked up I made a little gasp. It was Jamie. He was smiling down at me. I just kind of sat there like an idiot.

"Hello Dahlia, long time no see. Does anyone sit there?" He said pointing to the desk next to mine. I shook my head no. He sat down at the desk next to mine and I looked down and just stared at my homework.

"So... i didn't know you went here... and I don't ever remember you being in this class." I said to break the silence that fell and looked up at him. "That's because I didn't start going here until last Monday and yeah today is my first day in this class. My schedule last week was really messed up and now it's finally all right." He stated, I nodded. "I didn't know you went here either to be fair."

I smiled. "I wouldn't expect you to." The first bell went off cutting off our conversation and the class started to fill up. People kept staring back at us I don't know if it was because there was an incredibly hot guy in this class now or if it was because I was actually talking or if it was because I was talking to the incredibly hot guy. Could be any of them I think.

The second bell rang and when the teacher walked in Jamie and I stopped talking. I turned and faced the front of the class and then class started.

After first hour ended I packed up my things and started to head out the door to my next class until I heard someone yell my name. I stopped abruptly and someone ran into my back. I apologized and got out of the way. Jamie ran up to me. "Um do you know where this class is?" I looked and nodded.

"Um yeah I have to go right by it when I go to my next class. I'll show you." I said and started walking out the door with him right next to me.

In the hall I noticed a lot of people staring at us. It made me feel really awkward so I just kept my head down as I walked down the hall way. "Um so here's your class." I gestured to the room we were stand next to. "Thanks. Where's your?" I pointed to the next room down. "Cool. So I guess I'll see you after class" I nodded and walked to my class.

I have to say it's kind of nice actually having some to talk to instead of having no one accept Louise at lunch. As I sat waiting for the bell to ring I took deep breathes and got my stuff out for class. Throughout class though I couldn't not focus I just kept thinking about Jamie.

After class ended I packed up my stuff and when I walked out the door I saw Jamie waiting for me. "Why hello there stranger." He said smiling at me. I said hello back and we walked in silence. "So where's your next class?" I asked.

"Ms. Belle's. Yours?" He asked and glanced over at me. "Same." He nodded and we walked to class together. After classed ended we went our separate ways.

Lunch I thought was going to be like usual. But when I sat down I glanced around and saw Jamie. He was sitting with a couple of the kids that dressed like him. He looked like he was looking around, searching for someone. I sighed and started to eat and read my book. After like not even a minute someone sat down in front of me. I slowly lowered my book and saw Jamie sitting across from me. "I was looking for you, Dahlia"
