The next day I wake up feeling happy for once. I climb out of my old twin-sized bed and get dressed. I looked out my window and see Nik walking down the sidewalk. "What is he doing walking down the sidewalk in the morning?" I thought to myself. I hurried up and got dressed and rushed down the stairs so I could meet him outside. "Hey!" He said.
"Oh hey!" I answered.
"Do you want to walk with me?" He asked.
"Sure" I replied.
We walked down the street until we got to the park.
"Do you want to head back now?"
"Yeah" I said.
We walked back to our houses. It took about 15 minutes. He didn't seem right. He seemed like he was guilty of something. "Should I ask him what's wrong?" I thought to myself.
It was complete silence until I broke it.
I said "You seem guilty of something. What's bothering you?"
He replied "Amanda.. I have to tell you something."
My heart started racing and beating faster and faster. I thought I was going to have a panic attack!
"Amanda calm down! It's fine just relax."
I started to breathe fine again but I still knew something he was going to say was going to make my blood boil.
"Okay Amanda. I am really sorry but you know how we are kinda a "couple" ?"
In shock I replied "Yes?"
I didn't think he thought of us as a couple!
"Well Amanda.. I've been cheating on you with your sister Katie. I'm so sorry Amanda I feel awful."
I just looked at him in amazement. I couldn't believe it! That low life selfish son of a bitch! He cheated on me! Oh my god.. I'm done.
"Oh" I said.
"I'm so sorry Amanda I really am."
We walked together the rest of the way home in complete silence.
I really couldn't believe he would ever cheat on someone. He seemed so nice and trustworthy. I guess not.
