Bloodred Cupcake

Overnight

                   You sat on a bench near the water fountain in a daze, thinking over everything that had happened over the last week. What was the purpose of placing a cupcake in my room? What was their ulterior motive? Were they trying to mess with you!? You sighed willfully and pushed all those thoughts out of your mind, knowing where they may lead you. You were willing to kill anyone here and favored none in particular. You studied the nearby water fountain and its features. Pale and chiseled stone, tiny imperfections and cracks ran down the fountains edge. Only giving it character, you thought to yourself. Reminding you of someone, but wh- your thoughts were scattered and interrupted by boots stomping on the pavement. You turned around only to see Mondo, The Ultimate Biker Gang Leader stomping towards you, annoyed. What could he possibly want?

                        Mondo absolutely hated to be ignored. He had spent his entire life thinking he wasn't good enough and he wasn't gonna let it continue here. He hated how you had just walked off not even acknowledging him. Just thinking about you had made him feel weird and he didn't exactly know what it was... and that pissed him off more than anything.

                 "What the fuck is your problem!?" Mondo had immediately started yelling the moment he reached you. He had been talking so fast you couldn't even decipher what he had been saying. Getting annoyed as he ranted on, you decided to shut him up. A quick and forceful shove sent Mondo splashing into the fountain below. Mondo, was caught off guard, and the fountain water was deeper than he anticipated. Choking on water, he managed to stand up, hair and eyeliner disheveled. "Hopefully that'll cool you down hothead" You snapped at him. Obviously embarrassed, he'd turned away and retreated stomping off leaving a trail of water behind him.

                 Everyone was clearly confused when Mondo walked by, but Kiyotaka, the only one brave enough, had spoken up. "Mondo, what happened, why are you all wet???" Mondo, stomping by, ignored the boy.

            Feeling somewhat bad for what you had done, you decided to go up to his room later to apologize, and find out what he was so pissed about. Slowly you trod back through the dining hall, praying nobody would notice you. Kirigiri, of course The Ultimate Detective, sensed your presence immediately, but only nodded at the door, and distracting the others. You simply walked by, nodding back at her.

              It was after Monokuma had done the nightly announcements, that you hopped out of bed. You wore some shorts that came up high and complemented your ass, and a cropped tee that showed your abs and many scars from your line of work. Unfortunately the wardrobe choices were not your own, Enoshima was in charge of sleepwear. You shrugged it off, it was better than being naked.

            After stealthily slinking out of your room, you prayed that Mondo was still awake, being out here this late wasn't particularly a good idea. After a few minutes of searching, you had finally found his room. Stepping up to the door, you read the nameplate attached to the wall. "Mondo Oowada" whispering silently under your breath. Finally extending your arm and knocking, it didn't take  long for the door to open and a tall figure stood over you. There Mondo was, in nothing but some boxers and a tank top. You could see the confusion and annoyance on his face. You spoke softly, "May I come in?" "yeah I guess?" Mondo replied loudly. After briefly shushing him, you glided past him into his room. He closed and locked the door behind you, and turned to face you. "Why are you here?" He was still upset about what had happened at the courtyard today, and you didn't blame him. If someone had embarrassed you like that, they would've been dead. "Im sorry about today, I know it wasn't the best way calm you down." He looked at you for a long while, "Its whatever" He said looking anywhere but at you. "But I was wondering, what is it that you wanted at the courtyard?" He wasn't expecting you to actually care about what he wanted, so it took him awhile to prepare his words.

"Its nothing really, I just didn't like the way you ignored me. I hate it when people act like they're better than me." Hmm, so is that what he was so pissed off about earlier? "So is it my attention you want? "It's not that, I've never thought if was good enough to stand beside my brother, and with you if gave me a similar feeling. You make me feel weird and I can't explain it, but I want to get to know you better." "Alright then, after hearing that how can I say no?"

For the next three hours, you and Mondo got closer, getting to know each other, and sharing secrets you never planned to share. He told you stories of his gang and his big brother Daiya, and in turn you explained every one of your scars that he asked about. It wasn't until morning that you would find out you fell asleep in his arms.

The sleep you fell into was different, warm even. Instead of this darkness that seemed to swallow you up, it surrounded you like a blanket, warming your cheeks and tingling your fingers. You never knew peace like this before, and you loved it.
