Hi fellow wattpaders. This is not exactly a new story. I've been interested in writing something like this for a very long time, however please understand that right now, it is a really cráppy start to a story without a solid plot.
If you have ANY constructive criticism, don't hesitate to pm me. I would love to improve my writing. Also point out any spelling or grammar goofs, cause I am a HUGE grammar Nazi. Enjoy!He needed to calm down. He was excited. Too excited. If he didn't relax, his prey would sense him far before he sensed it. After all, this wasn't a usual hunt.
The hunter readjusted his position underneath the church window. The view of the narrow street was perfect, allowing him to scan for any threats.
A distant figure strolled down the street holding a violin in one hand and a bow in the other, both obviously well used. Probably a street performer but it was always better to conceal oneself. Especially in such a dangerous profession. The figure raised his violin, and the hunter tensed. Something was off. He squinted, trying to see the violin. Were the violin strings made of-
His train of thought was cut off as the figure raised his instrument plucking a single inaudible, melancholy note.
A sudden pain wracked his body. The hunter staggered back clutching his broken arm. He wildly whipped his head around, searching for the source of the attack. There was nobody else nearby. What had caused-
Another note penetrated the night, this one a sharp, almost dissonant, sound. This time however, the hunter was prepared. He rolled to the right just as the window behind him shattered, raining shards of broken glass on the sidewalk. The hunter only had time to chuckle before the violinist's bow pierced his heart.
His laughter choked off as he collapsed on the ground. The violinist slowly made his way to the vantage point, picking his way through the broken glass that littered the ground. He prodded the hunter's still-warm carcass, receiving no response.
The violinist withdrew his bow, and began his work. The body would be unrecognizable by morning.
