Chapter 2

"Sebi! We couldn't find her- oh."

The two boys froze at the sight of her. Looking shocked, one panicking and one trying not to let the panic inside of him show but sweating profusely. She didn't know why they were here but maybe they had passes? She hoped. 

"Do you both have permission to enter the land of the surface? May I check your passes?" She asked them, her hand out for their passes. She prayed that they weren't on illegal business. They both tensely looked over her shoulder, staring at the boy named Sebi, pleading for help.

Seeing that she sighed, her hand dropping to her side. It seemed that they weren't going to attack her or whatever. "Never mind. Just leave. We'll never meet anyway," They both looked at her. One with relief and one with suspicion.

"Thank you so much!"

"Well, we'll be leaving,"

They both passed by her as they walked away with Sebi beside them. "Wait!" Sebi shouted, turning to look at her. All three of them looked at him, 2 of them afraid of what he'd say.

"Do you perhaps have an ability that's different from everyone else?"

Her eyes widened. How did he-?

The other two looked at him as if he had grown two heads. Both looked at him with disbelief. While the other facepalmed as he muttered very colourful language under his breath.

She was a bit conflicted as her eyes stared at his clear blue ones. Aries had told her that this group Zodiacs reincarnated, could give her the freedom that she had longed for her whole life. But how could she be so sure that they were them? How did she know that they weren't the kingdoms spies? 

If only her zodiac wasn't snoring away somewhere in her mind.

"Oh? Did you call me, Ashley?"

'Aries,' she acknowledged in her mind.

"Well? What do you need me for?"

'Can I trust them?'

"Ah, those three? Hm........."

'Well?'

"You can trust them. I can sense a zodiac in all of them."

'If you can sense them, then why can't they sense me?'

"I made sure that no one could sense you"

'What for?'

"In case of danger,"

While she was 'discussing' with her zodiac, the other three were starting to lose patience. "Forget what this guy said. He's just uttering nonsense, he's like that. Now if you'll excuse us, we'll be on our way," The tallest among the three, started to push them away as the other two argued with him. 

"She could be one of the zodiacs-"

"Watch your mouth!"

"Relax, Chase. The zodiacs are forgotten. She won't know them"

"Unless she's one of us,"

"But we can't seem to feel a zodiac in her,"

She shook her head in disbelief. She was supposed to work with them? She sighed as she closed her eyes. Her hair flowed in the air as it started to turn to a dark red. She then reopened her eyes and instead of her dark brown ones they were replaced with glowing red ones. The Aries symbol burning a bit on her collarbone.

"How about now?"

The three boys snapped their heads to look at her. She could swear that they would have to treat their necks. Their eyes were wide with disbelief. 

"Thank the gods!" Sebi shouted as he clasped his hands with hers. "We finally found one after weeks of searching!" He shouted with tears of joy. 

"My name is Sebastian, but they all call me Sebi! The so-called reincarnation of Sagittarius," He shook her hand, excitedly but Ashley could feel her hand go numb as each second went by.

 "I'm Chase, my zodiac is Cancer. I hope you don't find us suspicious and want to join our group. We did go through a lot of trouble to find you," Chase introduced himself as he firmly grasped Sebi's wrist rescuing Ashley from the never-ending handshake. 

But causing Sebi to yelp out in pain.

"What was that for?" Sebi whined.

"Knowing you, if you kept shaking hands she would've never been able to use that hand again," The other boy exclaimed as he shook his head slightly. "Spencer, Scorpio's my zodiac," He said nodding in acknowledgement.

 Her hair then slowly turned back to her black and her eyes back to her dark brown as she regained her control from Aries. "My name's Ashley the, as you phrased, the so-called reincarnation of Aries,"

"Well, now that all the introductions are done, let's go meet the others!" Sebi shouted with enthusiasm, leading the way as everyone else trailed along with him. After going a few lefts and more rights, and passing a lot of trees, they arrived at their destination. Tents were already set up with a blazing fire in the middle. It seemed empty until someone came out of the tent. 

"Who's there?!" She shouted coming out of the tent with her hands in front. "It's us, Grace," Chase said. She lowered her hands with relief and smiled at them. She then noticed Ashley and jumped at her like a cat. "Are you-? You must be one of us!" She shouted with joy as she squeezed Ashley. 

Ashley swore that she was turning purple due to the lack of air.

"I'm Grace, the Gemini sign. We finally found another one!!" She screamed with excitement wrapping an arm around Ashley's shoulders. "Let go of her, Grace. She's starting to turn purple." Chase pulled Grace away from Ashley as she breathed for air. "Aww......" Grace pouted but did as Chase said. 

Ashley then noticed Grace's wings. She was from the land above. She had seen the people soaring through the air with those wings and have always longed to be able to fly herself.

 How free would she have been if she had been born with those wings?

Another voice woke her from her thoughts and she had turned around to see long blonde hair and familiar bluish-green eyes. She had seen her before..... but where? She stared at her and furrowed her eyebrows in thought. She then lifted her head with realization. 

Of course. How could she forget? This person standing before her was one of the most important people of the surface. 

"Princess Lilliana!"
