Chapter 10

'She's one of us?!'

"It seems so,"

'I should tell the others!'

Just as he was about to rush out of the room, something tugged on his sleeve. He turned around to see what it was only to see Violet sitting up, tugging his sleeve.

"Violet, you're awake," He said as he peered down to look at her. The sight of jade green eyes making him stagger back in surprise. "I wouldn't tell them if I were you," Her voice still sounded like her but her aura was completely different. He hadn't known Violet for very long but he suddenly felt very intimidated.

"That's Virgo. That jerk! What the hell is he doing?!"

'She's being possessed.'

"Exactly. Let me out. I want to talk with this nerd for a bit,"

He sighed as he complied. Scorpio was stubborn and probably would've shouted in his head until she got what she wanted. The pull was quick and before he knew it he was in his mind. His aquarium. He remembered the first time he came into his mind. He was being bullied by his classmates so he defended himself. No one believed him because he was poor and he was about to be expelled, but Scorpio stepped in. He still ended up expelled but he didn't mind. 

He played with some of the fish as he watched Scorpio's and Virgo's conversation.

"What the hell are you playing at, Virgo? You didn't even bother showing your presence!"

"You were the one who never asked Violet if she was one of you,"

"To hell with it!" Scorpio yelled. Spencer flinched in his mindscape. Virgo seemed indifferent as he stared at her blankly. But Spencer didn't understand just why was she so angry? 

"We could've left here the moment you revealed yourself but you didn't! Why?!" Virgo sighed as he ruffled Violet's hair. "Technically we couldn't have left immediately. Ashley has to take it easy. Healing potions could have dangerous side effects," He lectured her which only seemed to irritate her more.

"I know that! Don't treat me like a child! You may be a decade older but you could've told us," She said as she gripped Violet's shoulders. 

"I have a promise I need to keep to Spencer. He's suffered a lot you know? So have the others there. Being the zodiacs' host has consequences. Which means they don't have a great childhood. We have to meet everyone quickly so we can go to the 2nd stage of the plan. Then once we're out, I'll bring justice to my host," 

Spencer's eyes widened as he stared through his eyes. Could she possibly be talking about that day? And the second stage. Was that what they had to do for the zodiacs? His thoughts were cut short once Virgo started to talk.

"You're not the only one. Nor is your host. Violet, despite how she's living now still has scars from a year ago. You can call it luck but I wanted her to spend some more time with that doctor. Even if it was for a few days. She deserves more but that's the only thing I can give her right now,"

"Don't make me laugh!" Scorpio exploded as she laughed bitterly. "That's her father whose a great man how can she have a rough childhood-"

"He isn't,"

"What?"

"He isn't her biological father. Goddamn, I wish he was, but he isn't. So don't talk about things you don't know about, Scorpio," He snapped looking at Scorpio angrily and Spencer knew that he had just heard something extremely private. It was touching that his zodiac guardian celestial being thing was rushing things for him. To make his dream, his wish come true, but he didn't mind taking it slow either.
