"Yay!" Lacy said, "more exploring!"
"Shh, quit the yelling Lacy," Linda said.
"I'm not yelling, I'm just a happy puppy, that likes to explore," Lacy said as she trotted past Linda and went through the puppy door.
Linda and Liam followed her.
"This is cool," Liam said, looking around.
"I think we should stay together," Linda said.
"Boo!" Three black and white puppies jumped out of a nearby basket.
"Ahh!" Liam, Linda, and Lacy all yelled.
"Ha ha ha!" The three puppies in the basket laughed.
"That is not funny!" Linda yelled.
"Sorry, we just like scaring puppies," the tallest one said. "I'm Burt, and these are my brothers, Bill and Bob."
"Nice to meet you Bill, Burt, and Bob," Lacy said. "I'm Lacy, this is my brother Liam and my older sister Linda."
"Nice to meet you Linda, Liam and Lacy," Bill said.
"Want to explore the greenhouse with us?" Bob asked.
"What is a greenhouse?" Lacy asked.
"A greenhouse is like a house made it of glass with lots and lots of plants in it," Burt said. "At least I think that's what it is."
"Oh," Liam said, "sure, we'll go exploring with you."
"Yay!" Bill said.
"There's a white rose, it's my favorite," Bob said.
"Mine too!" Bill said.
"My favorite is the yellow flower," Burt said.
"Let's explore another part of the apartment building," Liam said.
"Okay," Linda said.
"Ditto," Lacy said.
"Ditto!" Bill, Burt, and Bob said.
"Let's explore the kitchen," Liam said.
"Good idea," Lacy said, "I'm hungry."
"Me too," Linda said.
"Us too!" Bill, Burt, and Bob said together.
"I smell chicken, I smell chicken, I SMELL CHICKEN!" Liam yelled, running into the kitchen.
"I see the chicken!" Linda said, running in after him, "but I can't reach it!"
"I want chicken for lunch guys!" Lacy said.
"Ditto!" The three black and white puppies whined.
"I see a stool next to the counter the chicken is on!" Liam said, jumping into the stool. He grabbed the chicken and brought it down for everyone to share.
"That was soo good," Lacy said when she was done eating her chicken.
"I don't think that I've had chicken that good before," Liam said.
"That's because Amy doesn't feed us chicken," Linda reminded him.
"True," Liam said.
