"Let's explore the garden I saw outside," Linda said, heading out the door.
"I saw lots and lots of flowers in the garden," Lacy said.
"I don't care about flowers, I care about rolling in the dirt!" Liam said.
"Same with us!" Bill, Burt, and Bob said.
"Well what are we waiting for?" Linda asked, "let's go!" She ran into the garden with Liam, Lacy, and the other three puppies close behind.
Linda stopped so suddenly that the other puppies bumped into her.
"Look," she said, "there's a dog in the daisys."
The dog sitting in the daisys looked up.
"Hello," she said, "who are you? My name is Daisy."
"I'm Linda, and these are my siblings Liam and Lacy," Linda said.
"We are Bill Burt and Bob," Bill said, pointing to reach of his brothers in turn.
"Lacy, what are you staring at?" Liam asked.
Lacy took a couple steps towards a dog who was off to their right.
"Mom, is that you?" Lacy asked.
The dog looked up. "Lacy?"
"Mom!" Lacy yelled, running towards her.
"Mom!" Liam and Linda yelled, running after Lacy.
Bill, Burt, and Bob trotted close behind, not wanting to miss anything.
"I've missed you so much!" The puppies mom said.
"What should we call you?" Bill, Burt, and Bob asked.
"You can call me Stacy," the puppies mom said.
"At the shelter, we didn't respond to any names except Liam, Linda, and Lacy," Liam told his mom.
"You are funny puppies," Stacy said.
"Do you know who that dog laying in the leafs is?" Linda asked.
"Her name is Autumn," Daisy said. "Her favorite season is Autumn too."
"Ow, what is that?" Liam asked, trying to walk forwards. "I can't walk, my tail is caught in something!"
"Maybe it's a monster!" Lacy said, hiding behind her mom.
"Stop being such a baby, Lacy," Linda said.
"But maybe Lacy is right," Liam said, "maybe there is a monster holding my tail!"
"Come on Liam, it's only some thorns," Linda said, starting to untangle his tail.
"Oh, good," Lacy said, "it's not a monster."
"If course it's not a monster," Linda said.
"I knew it wasn't a monster," Liam said, "I was just trying to scare Lacy."
"Well I think it worked," Linda said.
"Well I was just trying to scare Liam," Lacy said, "I knew it wasn't a monster."
