Chapter 1

"oops sorry" said a annoying voice

I started to pick up the books that Ashley "accidentally " knocked over .I picked up my history text book , only to have it flying across the the hallway.

I looked up and glared at her , while she smirked and then starting laughing a annoying high pitch laugh . I growled at her , only to be silenced by another growl and it was full of authority . Knowing who it was , I bowed my head down making sure not to make eye contact with the Alpha . Everyone started laughing at me , my brother , Tyler just looked down. The beta.

"sorry alpha"I mumbled

I heard her laugh again and she kicked my pencil case that went flying in the direction of my history text book .

I bent down to pick my stuff up only for someone to put their shoe on my text book so I couldn't get it . About to snap at the person for stepping on my things , I stopes myself when I noticed it was Connor , the alpha himself. I looked up at immediately froze .

"mate" I whispered.

Something flashed in his eyes but he immediately covered it up with a smirk.

"keep dreaming , like I would ever go with a girl like you. Your nothing " he said .

I felt as if a knife was driven through my heart.

"but-" he cut me off

" I am not your mate you crazy bitch " he said with his voice down making site no one else heard about me being his mate.

My heart shattered. Is this what it was like to be rejected?

I got up and picked up my stuff and hurried away to find my locker. I heard their laughter going fainter and fainter until i couldn't hear it anymore . I threw my stuff in my locker and slammed it shut . Running down the stairs and out the doors . It didn't really matter if I skipped , I was already straight A student .

I ran towards the direction of home when their was a sharp pain in my arm. I screamed in pain as every bone in my body broke and was being twisted I angles I would have never done.

I was shifting, shit!

After meeting their mates , females shift within 5 minutes and while males shift at the ages of 10-12. Males were so-pose to help females when they shift by lessing the pain and their wolf being beside yours helped with the shifting . But with out a mate it would be a longer painful process . Females who were rejected , were the most powerful wolves because they don't have a mate at their side to protect them.Females that were rejected would also have a different color, for example red , yellow, orange, white , blue , green, and purple.

I screamed bloody murder as the bones in my legs cracked and twisted and before I knew it I blacked out from the pain but only for a second then I saw pure black fur sprout from my skin and I shifted into a red wolf and red wolves controlled fire.

The yellow wolf controlled the weather. Blue wolf controlled water. Green wolf controlled earth. Red wolf controlled fire and purple wolf controlled shadows. But a fire earth controlled all the black wolves controlled all the elements and telepathic.

I trotted over to the lake and was taken back by my reflection. The wolf staring back at me was a beautiful red wolf with chocolate brown eyes .

Then my ear detected a sound that came from behind me .

Their was 3 wolves , one tan, one grey and the biggest one was brown and judging from the eyes the brown one was Connor and the grey one was my brother , Tyler and the tan one was The third in command.

They were all snapping their jaws at my when suddenly Connor stopped and the two stopped as well .

~ skylar what happened to you?~ I looked over to the grey wolf , my brother who was looking at me sadly knowing I have been rejected but not by who.

Tyler then looked at Connor , asking permission to Get back home and her nodded his wolf head and we ran back to the pack house.

The whole time noticing Connor was looking at me but quickly turned away when I looked at him.

The pack house started coming in view and we then made our way to different areas to change.

And that's when I noticed I had actually changed. My brown hair was now black with streaks of red

Other than my hair I noticed that now I was skinnier and none of my clothes were probably gonna fit me , damn! Oh well I needed to go shopping anyways.

I looked through my bag and found a dress that my mother got me and I never wore it so It was small but it had to do. But it was also a good thing I was the same shoe size , so I wore my black converse that went well with the short summer dress.

I stepped out of the forest and saw practically the whole pack and then being the clumsy person I am , I stepped on the biggest twig in the forest and everyone snapped their heads towards me . I stood their awkwardly until my mother and father came running over.

"skylar! What happened to you?" said my worried mother while she inspected my hair then she looked me straight in the eye and her knowing me so well , burst into tears then after a moment my father understood. By the time he did , my brother rushed over and engulfed me in a hug . I was taken back , but still hugged him.

"who is he?! I'll kill him" he snarled while holding me.

" son you can do that after I'm done with him" snarled my father

"who is he" growled me brother , his wolf at bay

I looked down and a tear ran down my face .

"tell me I'll kill him" snarled my brother while shaking my shoulders hard

I winced and a growl erupted from the sound of my moms crying.

Immediately my brother and father growled and turned around and what they least expected it to be was the alpha .

Hey guys! What do you think of the chapter? To be honest I re-wrote it ALOTE of times because I wasn't satisfied with it but I hope you guys liked it !! Sooo please ....
