General POV
Gabby's in there, on the 16th story"
Matt voice was thin, even over the radio Kelly could see the pain on Matt's face knowing he couldn't save gabby.
*Matt, I will get her*
Although Boden was not going to risk any more lives by sending people in, he also knew he could not stop Severide. "Severide you have one minute, the building is going to collapse" * I'm sending the rest of squad back down, I'm on the 14th story. I'll radio you back when I get to her.
Gabby's POV
The air was growing thicker making breathing that much harder. I knew that wasn't or good for me or the baby, but that probably didn't matter because no one knew were I was. As well as the clock was ticking before the building became too unstable for them to keep looking for people, if it wasn't already. I was growing weak from breathing in so much smoke, I crawled towards the door so it would be easier for someone to find if they did get to me.
Severide's POV
Although everyone on squad wanted to help me find Gabby, they finally started to head downstairs. That was went I made my way up stairs. It was evident that the building was going soon but I had to get to Gabby. If not for me then for Matt, he didn't know if but he still loved her and if anything happened to her he would never forget himself.
Once I got to the 16th story, I noticed many of the room doors were still open. I went to the first door that was shut and pried it open. I was shocked to find gabby sitting and leaning on the wall. At first I thought maybe she was fine but as I got closer she began to appear unconscious.
