It had been a long night for Alicia. She had been playing Roblox practically all night. Whilst playing though, she particularly enjoyed a game called 'Flicker'. It was a slightly violent and thrilling game, with many mysteries and challenges. After each round, Alicia would zone out a bit, wondering how it would feel if she actually experienced that herself. For one, it would probably be scary, not knowing whether you would die next. Drinking some coffee that she desperately, Alicia used her free hand to open the metal handles on her wardrobe, and picked out her usual outfit:
After that, she placed her cup of coffee back onto her bedside table, and wondered over to her desk, which was neatly arranged for once. Grabbing a black hairbrush and her makeup pallet, Alicia started brushing out her messy hair and applying some makeup. Once she had finished, for a little finishing touch she added a snowman visor and sunglasses. "Pretty good!" Alicia smirked, tidying up the mess she had made before casually walking over to the door, adorned with No Game No Life (teehee) posters, and clinging onto the metal handle before swinging it open, letting the light of the corridor pour in and illuminate her dark room. The soft, blue-ish grey carpet brushing against her bare feet, Alicia held into her light, wooden banister as she made her way down to the deserted kitchen, which had a variety of pots and pans sprawled about all over the place as if a hurricane had hit it. Alicia sighed, and quickly swerved to the front door, which a letter had just popped through. Curiously, her mind wandered as she got down on her knees, the marble floor hitting her, and picked up the fancy-looking letter. This is what it said:
Dearest Alicia,
You have been invited to a game of Flicker, accompanied by 9 other guests. Place make your way to the address in the back and be there by 10:00am. If you fail to attend, the murderer WILL play.
Sincerely,
???The part about her failing to attend gave her chills. But wait, Flicker? As in the Roblox game? Her eyes widened in shock and excitement. All her questions were about to be answered. Not wanting to miss this once-in-a-lifetime event, Alicia quickly glanced at the clock, 9:45. She decided to set off now, or she wouldn't be able to go. Luckily, she had been awarded her driving licence only 5 days ago, so she would arrive there quicker than usual.
~Time-skip because I'm lazy~
Finally, Alicia arrived at the creepy house in the middle of a forest, narrow trees surrounding it. Her breaths became heaving as she left her car parked untidily at the entrance, and went to knock on the door. As she raised her hand, the unstable (ok myth reference lmao) door blew open with a spooky, cold drift of air. With caution, Alicia stepped in, the door slamming shut and locking mysteriously already. Having being in the middle of nowhere, the house seemed pretty normal. As she peered around the corner, everybody seemed to be in the living room, socialising by the fire as it was a cold day. Alicia's scared frown turned into a relieved smile as she carefully ran past some knocked over chairs and joined her fellow housemates on the comfy sofas. "Look, we got a new-comer!" a girl with a red top and brown hair shouted over the excited murmurs. Immediately, everyone was silenced and turned to Alicia quickly. The girl with brown hair walked over to her, her hand reaching out. Alicia shook it and introduced herself shyly, "Hi my name's Alicia."
"I'm Ally." the brown-haired girl replied, a grin spreading across her face. Soon, a girl with an orange top and black pigtails came and greeted Alicia with a excited giggle, her name was Liza. After getting to know one another a bit more, a boy with a baret looked out the window in the kitchen, as he was cleaning up a plate of toasties he just had, "Golly, it's dark already!". Everyone gathered around the small, thin window and noticed the trees looked a lot more grim, as if a figure could just appear at any moment. After shaking that strange fear off, everyone ambled over to the bedroom, to find there was only one bed, that was on a slant. How great, ten people had to share a bed (uh oh). Luckily, another boy called Charlie had brought extra pillows as well as blankets. As he handed them out to the sleepy houseguests, Charlie claimed he always brought them wherever he went, in case they got locked I'm somewhere. Everyone clapped sarcastically, and got under the warmth of the soft blanket. Before anyone could enjoy a moment of peace, the generator turned off with a small click...Word count: 819 (oof that's a bit short)
