a/n- Once I finish writing about CNCO, then I'm gonna write about all 10 of the boys, just in random order and take requests. This one may be a little longer than expected but... Oh well 😂.And also if you don't know y/bf/n means your best friends name.
"Damn, Y/N. I'm really sorry, but I don't like you in that way. I actually like Y/BF/N. I'm sorry." That's what Richard Camacho told you when you confessed your feelings for him. You were speechless. The sound of your heart shattering echoed through your soul. The man you've loved since high school, was now saying that he liked your best friend instead of you. You wanted to cry right in front of him. But you decided against it and held your cry inside. "Oh...Okay. Well I hope you two are happy together," your voice cracked as you ran out of Richard's house and into your car and sped off. Finally, you could cry in peace. Your tears flooded your sight as questions flooded your mind. Had Richard ever known you liked him? Why didn't he like you? What did Y/BF/N have that you didn't? Should you just give up on your love life all together? You parked your car in your driveway, opened your front door and ran into your room. You threw yourself on your bed and began your endless pity party. You loudly sobbed into your pillow only stopping to take quick breaths. Your Welsh corgi, Kirby, layed down next to you and nuzzled his head into yours attemptimg to comfort you. "Why? What's wrong with me?" You knew this wasn't healthy but you couldn't help it. You felt like your world was crumbling beneath you. You didn't know what to do. You just layed there, while Kirby layed on your stomach. Your eyes, so tired from crying, slowly closed.

You were awakened by the sound of your phone ringing. It was your other friend, Jess. You answered sleepily,"Hello?" "Hey girly, are you alright? I left Richard's to give him something and he told me what happened." You sniffed a little. "To be perfectly honestly, I feel like shit." You felt yourself tear up, but you managed to calm down. "Do you want me to come over, so you can vent?" " I'm not in the mood to see anyone right now but can we stay on the phone?" "Sure, hun." Jess always managed to make you feel better, whether in person or on the phone. "You do know that just because Richard doesn't like you in that way, doesn't mean it's a reflection of you, right?" You rolled your eyes, " I obviously know that but still, it hurts Jess. You know how long I've liked Rich. It'd be different if it was some random girl. But he likes Y/BF/N! How am I supposed to react?" "I mean, they are both your friends, and the fact that they'll probably be happy together, should make you happy too." "Yeah I guess..." Jess laughed on the other end. " Look, if you need to distance yourself from them for the time being,do it. Be considerate to yourself, but don't be selfish." "Okay. Well I gotta go feed Kirby. I'll talk to you later." "Okay, byeee!" You thought about what Jess said, did you really want to throw away two great friendships just because things didn't work out your way? No, no you didn't. But you were going to have to distance yourself, for your emotional health. You unlocked your phone and made a group chat between you, Richard, and Y/BF/N. You sent a message to them both about where you stood:
"I just want you two to know that I love y'all soo much. But today hasn't been the best day. Y/BF/N, Rich told me that he likes you, and I'm assuming you like him back. While it still stings, I don't want to be the person to stand in your way. If you guys are happy, there's nothing I want more. But I do feel I need to take some space for myself just to get comfortable with the idea of you two. Pls don't take it personally. Ily❤️"
You could now be in charge of your emotions and actions.

It's been a couple of weeks since you last hung out with Rich and Y/BF/N. You've been focusing your school work and your job. You've also begun to draw, the perfect outlet for all your feelings. You've never felt better. A little distance is just what you needed. You just feel so positive. So positive that you eagerly accepted Jess' invitation to a get-together she was having. One that Rich and Y/BF/N would be attending. You could put your new attitude to the test. You had just arrived to Jess' wearing this↓

"Hey Y/N, I'm so glad you came." Jess greeted you with a hug at the door and let you in. "Thanks for inviting me, I needed this!" As you and Jess walked to the main area where the rest of your friends were, there was a man who caught your attention↓

You figured he was one of Rich's friends but you hadn't met him before. "Jess, who's that?", you pointed to the gorgeous man. "Oh that's Chris. Whom you HAVEN'T MET!! You two would be perfect together. Chris, come here!" 'Oh God,' you thought to yourself as Chris made his way to you. You were shaking in your boots. "Hey Jess!" Not only did he have an accent but he had a smile to die for. " You haven't met Y/N, have you? Y/N, this is Chris, Chris, this is Y/N. Okay, I'm gonna go now, BYE!" You whispered to Jess begging her to not leave you alone with Chris. But she was already gone. "Uh, this is a little awkward." "Tell me about it!" You two chuckled together. "So, are you friends with Richard?," you asked him. " Yeah, I am. You?" " Yeah." You smiled flatly, kicking yourself for making the conversation awkward. "So, I detect a little accent there. Where are you from?" "Well, I was born in New Jersey, but I'm Ecuadorian. I lived there for most of my life." "Wow! That's so cool!" You and Chris talked more about your personal lives. You learned a lot about each other. Jess, then called everyone to the backyard to eat lunch. "Shall we?" Chris asked me, offering his hand. "We shall." You took his hand in yours and walked to the backyard with him.

You knocked on Richard's door. Not surprisingly, Y/BF/N answered the door. "Hey Y/N, listen I'm really sorry about-" "Girl, you have nothing to be sorry about. You can't help what happened between you and Rich. Attraction is natural. As long as you two are happy, I'm happy." Y/BF/N smiled and hugged you. "Do you wanna come in?", Y/BF/N asked. "No, actually I can't stay, I have a date. "Ooh, with whom?" Just as you were about to answer, a car horn beeped. Chris stepped out of his car and waved. Y/BF/N's jaw dropped. "You mean, you two are dating?" "Yep!" "AHHH, I love that for you!" You smiled. "Thank you. I should go now. Bye girl." Maybe things did work out your way.
