Richie slammed his lunch Tray down next to Stanley causing him to jump. "Fuck! BE more careful next time Richard!" HE exclaimed loudly causing Richie to burst into laughter.
"Calm Down Bird Boy!" HE teased as Stanley growled, he loved his friends, but Richie Fucking Tozier, he would dare to say he hated. The curly hair blonde rolled his eyes, and picked up his burger and took a large chomp out of it.
Eddie then sat down, he was okay with Eddie, sure he was a fucking germophobe but it was.. tolerable. HE knew Eddie and Richie were dating, they were always close but he didn't say much cause of how homophobic the small town was. Bill sat down next to him, Bill was his best friend... he was tolerable and he was funny but Bill... has been slightly all over Stanley in a it made Stanley uncomfortable, he was okay with it but he knew Bill has been developing feelings and Stan is straight.
After that Mike, not much to say for him, he and Stan never were close but they.. were okay with each other. And lastly Ben Hanscom, he was a nice kid... and he's been writing love letters to Beverly since 8TH grade. He's the only one except for Stanley who doesn't believe in the rumors. Also Stanley... has a massive crush on Beverly, even though he never talked to her, he saw her talk to Bill and she was just so perfect, she was cute, smart, and... amazing. HE wanted to talk to her but he was too nervous he would mess it up so he just didn't.
HE glanced at her, alone at the lunch table with no food, just sitting with her head down. HE just wanted to talk to her... tell her how special she is... but it doesn't even matter, he thought she would just think he was the weird kid who watched birds or something.
Henry Bowers walked over to her, he hated him, he was always picking on his friends and it made him miserable to look at him near Beverly.
"Hey!" HE yelled making Beverly burst her head up and slide backward slightly. HE sat down next to her and looked back making everybody in the lunchroom turn away, not wanting to interact with him. "I was thinking maybe you and I do something special tonight, huh?" HE smirked making Stanley look back at him without him knowing.
"N-N-No thank you, Henry. I-I was just gonna-" She stopped because of him moving closer making her scoot away further. "H-Henry, please go away..." She spoke up in fear, making him chuckle and lean his hand over, to rub her back making her shudder as he tried to pull her closer while she kept trying to move back, but this time... Stanley stood up.
"HEY! SHE SAID GET AWAY FROM HER!" HE yelled, standing up causing Henry to whip his head back and stare Stanley down, as Stanley gulped.
"What were you saying to me, bird boy?" HE said, moving to Stan's table.
"I was saying that she doesn't want you touching her! So don't!" HE yelled trying to hide his fear.
"Hey! Uris, if you want her then you don't have to be so nice, just ask her nicely, like me-"
"Stop talking about her like that!" HE exclaimed in anger. "She's not like that, really! And you know it!" HE yelled as Bowers chuckled and shrugged.
"Oh please, you know she loves to do it with all of right? Why would somebody that looks like he wanna be with one guy?" Stanley couldn't take it anymore, he was only one inch shorter then bowers and he didn't care if it was risky, he walked up to him and pushed him into the table making.
Henry stood back up and looked down slightly at Stanley making him gulp. "Big mistake Uris-"
"What is going on here you two?!" They heard the principle speak up making them tilt their head over to him. "My office! Now!"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"What were you all thinking? You can't just start a fight on school grounds!" HE exclaimed as Bowers rolled his eyes and Stanley stood up.
"Actually, sir, um.. Henry was saying things about Beverly..." He awkwardly said, not knowing how to word himself.
"Is this true?" The principle asked, as Bowers growled and stood up.
"You know what she's really like-"
"You don't even know if that stuff is true!" Stanley cut him off as the principle demanded them to sit back down.
"Stanley, you are dismissed, we're going to have another chat sometime soon. Henry stay with me." HE spoke up as Stanley got up and went out, not wanting to see what Bowers was gonna do. HE walked out as he looked at the bench next to the office to see Beverly.
"Oh, Stanley! Um, what was going on in there..?" She asked as Stanley sighed.
"Principle is just trying to figure out what happened between me and Bowers out there."
"Oh.. well y' know I just wanted to thank you for standing up for me, even though you didn't have too." She smiled brightly as he blushed slightly.
"Of course I had too! I couldn't just let him say that stuff! You know if... you ever need um... somebody to talk too I'm here.."
"Oh, thank you! Um, maybe you could have my number, we could get in contact to chat a little bit..." She offered nervously. His face lit up with a smile as he shoved his hand in his pocket and pulled out a crumpled piece of paper.
"Shit, do you have a pen?" HE asked as she nodded and gave him one from her backpack. She wrote down a series of numbers as he crumpled the paper again and put it in his pocket. "Um.. when could I call?"
"Oh... I don't really have anything to do after school so just call in between four and nine O'clock."
"Ok, got it! See you later redhead!" He yelled, waving causing her to giggle. It was the start of something great
