Internet Friends (A Katy Perry Fanfiction)

Introduction

a/n Heyy, this is the first fanfiction I've written, so sorry if it sucks but bare with me it's going to get better!

Who's this spam from? Nice, 15 likes on my first week with a Katy Perry fan page! Hm I'll spam them back.

I went to her page then liked and commented on a few pictures until I felt a vibration from my phone.

It was a DM, and it was from the girl who spammed me!

I saw she had sent it to one other person. It looked like another katycat.

I quickly read the comments on the DM.

@firework4L: Hey! My names Carissa, welcome to the fandom!

Awh how nice, this is why I love katycats! So I replied-

@xokatyperry: Awh thanks so much! I'm Kenzie btw! :)

As soon as I hit send I saw another comment.

@katykat1984: Hai Kenzie! What's up? I'm Diane! And I love Jessie J, she's my fav right next to Katy hehe!

I mean I know some people had friends online and I always thought that was weird and creepy, but wow! I can see why Internet friendships exist, people who understand what you like more than school friends.

I was kinda excited to get closer them.

@xokatyperry: Haha hi Diane! You guys are so nice, I'm lucky to have met you guys already.

@firework4L: Thanks gurllll, haha!

And that's how it went for a while, we all sent DMs to eachother all the time! Then... I decided to ask something that I've been wondering since that first conversation.

I sent them a DM,

@xokatyperry: hey kittens! Soooo I was thinking and maybe we should send eachother a video of us? I mean we've gotten closer and I just thought it would be cool?

And send! Carissa and Diane replied almost immediately with the same answer, "yes!!!!".

I watched Diane's first, and wow she was goregous, I was soo jealous.

Next I looked at Carissa's, she was being her usual goofy self! Haha but she was stunning just like Diane!

Now I'm nervous, it's my turn to send one. They're both so pretty and I'm so, not! What if they don't like me anymore?

Then my phone got 10 notifications, they were spamming the last DM, telling me to send a video of me.

Well I guess I have to now.

I recorded a video basically just saying hi and with a little hesitation I finally sent it.

After a minute or two they had both responded.

@firework4L: OMGGG girl you're so pretty ;) I'm jelly lol.

@katykat1984: Kenz!! You're gorgeous, just like Katy!!

Wow they didn't think I was ugly and they didn't ignore me, they really are true friends.

@xokatyperry: Omg guys thank you! I was kinda scared but I'm glad I did it now!!! haha.

I never thought that I would become this close to them, or love people that I haven't even met.

It's funny how a shared passion and a social media can bring people together. It can create friendships that seem like they were meant to be, despite the distance.
