Chapter Three

*buzz*

ugh I have to pause my music now, great.

Oh! it's Diane oovooing me, she added me to a group with 6 other people? Aside from Diane I only recognized Carissa and Jorge in the group.

I answered and Jessie's friends all introduced themselves as ElishAshley, Jurney, Melody, and Livvy.

They were all prettyy cool I gotta admit. Diane said she met them all on her Katy fanpage and they were all big katycats.

We all talked about Katy's music, why we love her, how we became fans, everything! And we oovooed for three hours and then we all hung up and said goodnight.

Then it hit me.

The squad hadn't been introduced to Lexi and Raven, I went back to the squad chat and told them I had to introduce them to my other two bestfriends.

I added them and they all instantly connected, what more could I ask?

The next day I woke up to my phone blowing up, I was added to a group chat on kik with everyone from the oovoo call.

We were constantly texting and my phone was never, NEVER dry.

For weeks and weeks we always texted eachother and we all became very close. I could always ask jurney for advice, I could tell ElishAshley anything. Carissa and Melody could always make me laugh. I could always Fangirl with Livvy, and Diane was my bestfriend!

A few days later, I woke up to my phone blowing up even more than usual.

I looked in the chat named "Squad" and they were all typing Kenzie over and over.

When I finally answered they told me to check Katy Perry's Instagram so I did and you won't believe it!

AHHHH!!

Okay so Katy Perry, my mom and favorite singer just posted a contest on Instagram!

I'm literally tearing up, okay?

The contest says,

"Attention katycats!!!! I'm having a contest! All you have to do is repost this picture with the hashtag #Katycatcontestweek and you will be entered to win a fun week with me and 6 other lucky katycats! This is U.S. only and we will shop, go out to eat, and do lots of fun stuff! I look forward to meeting some of my bb's💅🏼 The contest ends next Monday! Be ready kittens." Katy Perry was having a contest for 7 lucky katycats.

All of "squad" reposted the pic as many times as Instagram would let us, we were determined.

I mean who wouldn't be though? I mean shopping, L.A., KATY FREAKING PERRY?! I have to win I kept repeating in my mind.

I'm screaming internally okay?

My fanpage timeline was filled with the contest picture and I was nervous that I wouldn't win, there are a lot of katycats.

That was basically all we talked about that week, it was so nerve racking.

We all got back on oovoo for the night and fell asleep on the phone, but none of us fell asleep until 5am. None of us could sleep with the excitement of the contest in our minds.

And we literally spent a week straight reposting that picture and I mean I think I may or may not have broken my thumb...

We all even stayed up together on oovoo Sunday night to see Katy's tweet in the morning.

I went straight to Twitter as soon as the clock hit 9 am.

Katy had tweeted the lucky 8 katycats and I was so excited to see!

Katy had posted a tweet with the winners.

I yelled at everyone to wake up and we all checked together

"Good morning Katycats! I'm here to announce the lucky 7 kittens! And here they are-
Livvy A.
Kenzie R.
Carissa G.
Diane C.
ElishAshley G.
Jurney K.
Melody M.
congratulations!"

We all read at the same time.

We were all silent for a moment.

It didn't take long for that to change though.

AHHHHHHHH!!

We all screamed and squealed and made the weirdest and loudest noises you had ever heard.

ElishAshley's mom even woke up and yelled at her for waking her up!

Katy tagged us and the impossible had happened.

All of us had won, every single one. Not only were we gonna meet eachother, but Katy Perry and together!!!!!

She sent us a group DM on Instagram asking us for our addresses and such.

She told us she would be picking us up in four days, so be ready.

I'm pretty sure we all were completely packed and ready that night, you don't even understand how amazing it felt.

We said goodbye on oovoo so we could all get some sleep.

But I wasn't sleeping, I was just staring tears rushing down my face, staring at my Katy Perry poster.

But my mind did get exhausted finally and I drifted off to sleep smiling.

A/N I'm sorry this is so sucky I'm trying to make it more interesting but I think I'm failing.
