"don't leave me daddy!~ i hate being home alone," cici whined and pouted.
"you'll be fine, i'll be back very soon baby. i need this, you know i have an addiction," ciarán grabbed his wallet and keys before stuffing them into his jacket pocket.
"b-but.."
"you'll be fine."
"fine."
"see you later love," ciarán kissed cici on the forehead and walked out to his car.
cici watched ciarán drive away and then frowned towards the floor. "what do i do now?"
—
many hours passed and there was no sign of cici's daddy. ciarán wouldn't answer cici's texts or calls, but cici could see where he was on snapchat. weird.
a knock came on the door and cici lifted himself off the couch to answer it.
a tall, gorgeous man in a green suit was stood at the door. "hello love, are you home alone?"
"y-yes," cici sniffles, "my daddy left. he won't answer his phone."
"oh," the green-suited man coos, "you must be pretty bored then, huh?"
"uh huh," cici nodded, meekly.
"so you won't mind if i come in, yes?"
"oh, uh, ok," cici politely stepped aside.
"splendid," said mr green-suit with a toothy grin, a glint in his eye. "you can call me the greedler, by the way," he went right on in as if he owned the place. cici following soon after shutting the door. the green— the greedler, made his way to the livingroom, looking around as if on a hunt for something. "um, what are you looking f-for?" cici asks.
"nothing, nothing," the greedler smiles. "...does your daddy have any watches, or jewellery, though? i'd love it if you'd show me."
"yeah, he does! in our room, come," cici took the greedler's hand, walking excitedly to the bedroom.
"you're so kind." like stealing candy from a baby. the onceler thought to himself, a smirk sat on his lips as he was lead down the hall.
soon he stands behind as cici opens a door, they then proceed to enter. the room is warmer, more dimly lit. there was a king size double bed, with two bedside drawers on either side. "now, where are they, hm?" he says, a fake smile stretched onto his face. he was itching with unbearable impatience.
"it's all in daddy's drawer!" cici points a finger to the drawers on the right.
the greedler sniggers, creeping over to the drawer. he slides it open and is greeted immediately by shining gold chains, necklaces, rings, and a rather expensive looking silver watch. he takes off his top hat and starts grabbing and stuffing the jewellery into it. "w-what're you doing?" cici asked nervously. "that's not yours!"
once the drawer had been quickly emptied, the greedler stood with a deep chuckle, the top hat in his hands. "it is now."
and before cici could protest any further, the greedler was cackling, bolting out the room, and out the front door. leaving cici feeling hurt, betrayed, and stupid. a sick feeling in his stomach. he sat there, now instead fearing for ciarán to return.
—
a couple hours later, ciarán finally came home. cici was asleep on the couch wallowing in his own tears.
"huh," ciarán unzipped his boots and took them off before carrying them upstairs so he could change. "these earrings have been a pain-" he opened his jewelry drawer to put them in and his hand opened in shock immediately, the earring falling to the ground with a small clack.
all his jewelry was gone; the watch from his father, handmade jewelry from his mother, every other accessory he bought or got as a gift was nowhere to be seen.
"WHAT THE FUCK!?" his anger quickly overcame his sadness as he picked up his fallen earring and thrusted it in. "CICI GET YOUR FUCKING ASS UP HERE NOW."
cici slowly lifted himself off the couch and walked upstairs to his death.
"CARE TO EXPLAIN??" ciarán screamed at him.
"th-this guy came to our house. i thought he was nice and i let him in- he just made me take him to all your jewelry and then he stole it and left," cici broke down crying and ciarán only got angrier.
"ARE YOU STUPID? ALL THE JEWELRY FROM MY PARENTS, FROM MY FAMILY, FROM YOU- UGH," he pinched the bridge of his nose. "just leave."
"what do you mean?" cici's heart fell."
"don't talk to me, just stay away from me."
"but-"
"no."
"ciarán please, i'm sorry."
"sorry? SORRY?" ciarán laughed and put his phone on table. "sorry isn't going to magically bring back the thousand dollar watch my dad got me."
"but- why haven't you been answering my calls?"
"my phone died."
"then why could i see where you were?"
"that was before it died. i'm leaving," ciarán walked into the closet and put his shoes away before changing into sweatpants and a baggy hoodie and putting on a pair of black nikes.
"where are you going..?" cici stood there nervously, not wanting his boyfriend to leave and potentially cheat on him, especially with the current situation.
"nowhere," ciarán grabbed his cigarettes, lighter, a bit of cash, his credit card, and id before walking downstairs and going out the front door.
cici sat on the bed and felt tears in his eyes. "i'm so fucking stupid, i'm so stupid. he hates me now, i'm such an idiot."
—
after about 20 minutes of walking, ciarán reached a park and sat down on the fountain. he put his face in his hands and remained there for a bit, until somebody tapped on his shoulder.
"are you okay?" a lanky, younger boy was sitting next to ciarán.
