THIRD PERSON POV
"Why did you do that?", he turned towards Siya and demanded an explanation about her despicable behavior.
"What? It's an imported item. You had no idea about how hard it's for me to buy them. And you?", Siya looked at Aarushi "What are you standing here and crying about? Go and get another cup of Tea for him." she directed her anger on her.
Anshul noticed how her hand became red and she tried to hide it away from his eyes when he asked her if she's okay.
"Do you think it's more important than a person's self-respect?", Anshul asked her a bit loudly. He was seriously disappointed with her, she could have shown minimum humanity for God sake.
"Why would i think about her self-respect, after all she is just my maid ..She should know her limits and how to behave with her employer.", Siya said glaring at Aarushi who's now hiding behind him or you could say Anshul practically shielded her way with his back.
The person who should really know how to behave is you Siya, Anshul wanted to say it out loud but couldn't voice his opinion as it's her home. He didn't want to offend her or more like he thought about his father who happened to be her father's friend and that's the only reason why he was putting up with her questionable behavior.
"Yes, she is your maid but it doesn't mean you can disrespect her. Mistakes happen you know..", he said, tried to reason with her and also indicated to Aarushi to go from there quickly.
He felt very bad for her, his eyes trailed on her back as she left. He could not help but think about her hand.
"See, I am not that type of person who likes to show off their power. But she really needs to learn how to work for high profile people. Anyways, she just spoiled my mood. Let's take a selfie, I need to send it to my friends. They have been wanting to see you ..", she pulled Anshul towards her.
*******
Aarushi took turmeric powder from the kitchen and sat down in the garden area.
"Aah ..", a yelp left her mouth in pain as she applied it on her hand gently. She looked around and found no one near her area. Then she decided to slide her dupatta off her head.
Tears slipped down from her eyes silently, she was hardly controlling herself thinking about her unfortunate fate.
"I should have died in the accident that day...I am also a human, I feel hurt. Why does God have to test me at each and every step of my life?", she mumbled in agony.
But again, her heart involuntarily skipped a beat when she recalled the humble man's words that she met him twice already today. She was seriously surprised when she saw him in the living room.
What a coincidence!
Good people still exist in this world.
It felt really good when she saw him taking her side. It's the first time a person other than her grandfather stood up for her. He's really a good person with a good heart. But then again her face fell in gloomy when she remembered how Siya was making cunning ideas for his property.
Why does God have to be unfair to him? He really deserves a good lady as his woman.
Suddenly she felt somebody's presence lingering behind her, making her heart crumble in fear. She quickly covered her face with the dupatta and turned around anxiously.
Her heart almost dropped when she found a man in his forties ogling at her with a creepy smile.
Her steps wobbled backwards as she asked him who he was. She never saw him coming here; she always worked in the kitchen other than serving Siya. Nobody is allowed to come into the kitchen except maids, especially during working hours.
He didn't reply, i stead he leaned closer to her making her shudder in fright.
"Sir, what are you doing? I will scream if you come closer to me.", Aarushi said in a trembling voice.
That man laughed evilly and grabbed her hand. " You look gorgeous baby. Where were you hiding all these days? Why didn't I see you yesterday?"
Tears escaped from her eyes as she tried to remove his hand from hers.
"Leave me. I will scream..."
"That's what i want...I want you to scream my name baby..what a young skin..", he rubbed his hand on her arm.
Aarushi felt nausea, the way he touched her made her more vulnerable.
"HELP...SOMEBODY HELP PLEASE...", Aarushi shouted and tried to kick his knee. But he was stronger than her, she couldn't help but cry louder.
"Nobody is home baby... I have just seen Siya and the man going out. My sister and brother-in-law were already not home. You can't escape from me ..", he said with a sickening grin.
Her eyes widened in fear when he heard his words. God, why is it always her what's wrong she did that she had to go through pain?
She didn't know why but the only name that crossed her brain was Anshul Sehgal. The man who defended her a few minutes ago. She thought at least he would come for her rescue. But after listening to this disgusting man, her hopes were gone.
"Please sir, I am your daughter's age. Please show some mercy. Please don't do this to me.", she begged him with water filled eyes but the man did not show any remorse. Instead he pulled her dupatta away from her head and gripped her chin.
Does she have to sacrifice herself to this animal?
Is there really nobody to save her from this cruelty?
As in que, the thud sound of the kitchen door resonated throughout the area.
Before she could even comprehend what's happening around her, she found herself pulling away roughly and the next second that vile man was blown away already sending him down to the floor in a swift motion.
