Study Buddy

"Time for your first day at your new school !" I hear my mum yell from down stairs as I groan and drag myself to the shower.

My name is Alana Irwin. I have a older brother named Ashton,a younger sister named Lauren and a younger brother named Harry. Our parents recently got divorced and mum got remarried which caused us to move from our home in England to Australia.

Today is the first day of school and I am starting my junior year. Ashton is starting his senior year and was absolutely crushed that he had to leave all his friends. Me on the other hand I just had to leave my one good friend Olivia.

I get out of the shower and blow dry my hair deciding to just leave it straight. I do my makeup by doing foundation,powder,a golden smokey eye, eyeliner, and a little bit of blush.

I walk over to my closet and try to figure out what to wear. It is August so to me it feels like it should be summer but in Australia it's winter.

I finally decided on some light denim jeans, a black sweater, and some white converse.

I walk downstairs and sit down at the kitchen counter when I feel someone tug on my long blonde hair, followed by a giggle.

"Ashton I'm not in the mood to mess around" I groan taking a sip of my water.

"Awh Alana don't be worried about school you'll be fine." Ashton says giving me a grin.

I don't feel like talking so I just flash a fake smile back.

"Well here we are" Ashton says parking his car.

I grab my black jansport backpack and jump out of his black truck.

We walk up and get our schedules and find out that we have the same lunch which I couldn't be more great full for.

I start to walk down the hallway to find my first class when a girl bumps into me.

I look at the frazzled girl that has medium length dirty blonde hair that's dip dyed purple.

"Oh my god I'm so sorry!" She practically yells.

"Its ok" I say grabbing my schedule that fell on the ground.

"Hey wait are you Alana Irwin she says pointing to my name on the schedule.

"That's me" I say a bit confused.

"Oh my god I finally found you, I'm Hannah and I'm supposed to be your guide for the next couple of weeks while you get used to the school and all" She says holding out her hand.

"Oh good I can't even find my first class" I laugh shaking her hand.

"Well that's what I'm here for" She smiles leading the way to our first class since it turns out that we have all the same classes.

"Ok students maths is going to be quite hard this year so in order for you to be able to have help when you need it I paired you all up in partners and that person will be your "study buddy" for the year"

Great I think to myself. Whoever gets me is going to hate it because I'm absolutely terrible at maths.

"Alana your with Luke" My teacher says pointing to a boy sitting in the back of the class room.

I walk over to him and he looks up and me and smilies a cheeky grin.

"Hi Alana, I'm Luke."

Let's just say I had to try very hard not to get red in the face because Luke was absolutely the most gorgeous boy I have ever seen. His electric blue eyes, blonde hair, and oh my god is that a lip ring? Yes, yes it is.

"Like what you see?" Luke chuckles and I realize that I have been staring at him.

"Oh um sorry, I'm Alana."

"Yes I know" Luke laughs.

I sit down as the teacher started the lesson.

During the whole lesson I could feel Lukes eyes on me and I must have been as red as a tomato. For our homework the teacher assigned us to go out for lunch or coffee with our study buddy so we can get to know them before we have to start working on math. Easy enough right ? Not when your study buddy is Luke Hemmings.
