The call

(3rd Person)

(Flashback)

Ellie had just put Jeremy to sleep, and now she was walking around the house cleaning up because her and Jeremy were baking brownies, when Ellie got a call from Elena "hey Elena!" she asked then heard Elena on the phone crying, "Elena! What's wrong, what happened?" Finally Elena talked "Ellie.. something bad happened to mom and dad" when Elena finished talking, Ellie felt like her whole world stopped moving.

That's when Ellie hung up, thinking back she knew she should've went to go pick up Elena but she couldn't leave Jeremy and she also didn't want to look at Elena because she blamed Elena a little only because she was the reason why they left and now they left for good.

The next day when Ellie woke up she packed her things and called Jenna to come and look after Elena and Jeremy while she went to think things through and grieve about the loss of her parents.

when Ellie finished packing she heard a knock at the door, she went downstairs and opened the door. "Aunt Jenna!" "Ellie!" they hugged each other and cried for a good minute or two but they needed it so they stayed there hugging, Jenna pulled away and had a feeling that Ellie was about to go somewhere. "Where are you going?" she asked, "oh um, I need time to get my head around all this I'll be back soon." Ellie told her, "okay" they hugged one more time before Ellie left and never came back.

*Now*

(Ellie pov)

I woke up in the middle of the night with my heart racing. "Damn" I said to myself. Then my phone rang and made me jump and almost fall of my bed, I quickly looked at my phone, it saying "Lil sis" I looked at it confused me because I haven't talked to Elena since she told me about when mom and dad's funeral was going to be.

I quickly answered so my roommate doesn't wake up, "Hello" I questioned when I answered. "Ellie?" she asked, "Elena?" I answered. "Ellie, Aunt Jenna is gone" she told me, but that can't be true I was talking to her the other day asking how everything was. "What? What do you mean "gone"?" I answered. "Aunt Jenna is dead, she died last night" she answered "So, are you going to come to the funeral or are you going to ditch it like mom and dads!" She kind of yelled at me.

"I'm sorry, Elena, I'll be there soon" I said as I was starting to pack "Where even are you, where have you been this past year and months? Jeremy misses you!" she asked and told me "I'll tell you soon, bye Elena" I said almost finished packing. I hung up on her before she could answer; I felt like I couldn't breathe, everything was happening so fast.

I stopped packing and started crying, I woke up my roommate with how loud I was crying "Ellie? Are you okay?" Anna asked me, I couldn't answer so she turned on the lights and came and hugged me to try and comfort me but it wasn't working.

After what felt like hours of crying I finally stopped and told Anna what happened. "Oh my god, I'm soo sorry! What are you going to do?" she asked "I'm going to do what I've been holding off doing for a year. I'm going back home" I said and slowly finished packing.
