Chapter 6 Adam

I look behind, and see Izzy walking off to her class. her wavy red brown hair flowing as she walks. I wonder why she was reading War strategy and other warfare, I also hope she thought my joke was funny. "Dude, stop your staring." James said to me. " I know, I know." I replied as I turn to face him. " Adam you need to ask her out soon, before she is taken.""But what if she doesn't like me?" "Please Adam, I'm positive that Izzy likes you. Didn't you see the way she look at you? Probably not, since you were doing googly eyes at her."says James doing an example of googly eyes. "Stop it James." I say, feeling my self blushing. " Come on just ask her." "Fine! To shut you up I'll ask Izzy" I say. "Yes!" James says while he jumps and punches the air. James then grabs my books and starts running."See in class"yell James. "James!!" I yell starting to run after him.
Classes flew by fast, it soon became lunch. As I sit at my regular table, I then see Izzy come into the cafeteria. As she walks over to her friends she gives them a wary look then sits down. " I hear from James that you are going to ask Izzy out. When are you going to?"says Max Finch. "James told you?" I said as I turn towards Max. "What? Your second best friend, isn't allowed to know when you are going to ask a girl out?" Says Max with a grin. A little information Max. He has been my friend for about 5-6 years, he is also currently dating Mary Brown. "I think I'm going to ask her after school today." I say. "Nice" says Max. Then the topic changes to sports and which team is good, who won last night and more. The bell rings symboling the end of lunch. as the rest of the day goes by I think up of ways to ask Izzy out. I finally come up with plan to get her alone and ask her. when the last bell rings I rush out to the parking lot waiting to see Izzy. A couple minutes later I see Izzy run out the doors and to her car. As I walk to her a group made up of her friends rushes past me. Great, I think there goes my chance. As I start walking away, I hear yells coming from Izzy and the group. What's going on? The yells don't sound good. I process this as I'm jogging back to the group.
