Edmund's POV

"Wow..." (Y/n) breathlessly said, looking all over the place. Her eyes glued to everything.

Down the hall we went, walls decked out with paintings, one being of Aslan. The columns were majestic carvings of creatures. Everything was illuminated by the sun's rays, making everything have this cozy atmosphere.

"We've been here for a while and I'm still fascinated by this place," Peter said, "it's so..."

"Wonderful," Lucy piped in. They smiled at each other.

"Well, we're here, " I said, opening the door of the conference room. They followed inside to a grand room with beautiful wall decor and carvings. From the high ceilings hung a magnificent chandelier. There was a large table with enough chairs for us all. The fireplace and mantel held some candles and above it a map of Narnia. We sat down as the awkward silence settled in.

"Well why don't you explain to us how you got here, maybe there's a clue," Susan suggested, "I just don't know why you would be here," She looked at her and gave him a strange facial expression.

"No offense," Susan cleared her throat.

"None taken, it's fine," she replied.

"She could be here for no reason," Peter pointed out. That was true. (Y/n) then began to tell her story.

"My bedroom mirror became a portal, It was like the wind just grabbed me and pulled me in. I also heard this low roar and my name but the wind was so loud I can't be sure, everything was just so bizarre."

"I think maybe we need her help," I suggested, "To me, it sounded like Aslan himself called for her."

"For what though," Peter questioned aloud, "everything has been pretty peaceful, no wars or riots or anything actually."

"The calm before the storm..." (Y/n) said quietly.

"Does this mean something bad is about to happen?" Lucy asked, beginning to worry.

"Maybe something already has," Susan pointed out, "and we just aren't aware of it yet." What will our people think if some underground activities are happening and we're here acting as if everything is just fine. Now I was beginning to worry about what could it be.

"What do I have to do with any of this, I mean you guys are the kings and queens, not me," (Y/n) said shrinking into her chair. She seemed so small, it was a weird foil to the rowdy goblin I met in the woods. Another child of Adam or Eve isn't a common occurrence, so it has to mean something, right?

"If only Aslan were here to guide us or tell us what to do," Peter sighed, pushing back on his chair. We were all unsure where to go from here and we didn't want to wait for disaster to come knocking at our door. That's when we got a knock.

"Your majesties," a centaur came in and bowed, "it's a messenger, they're here asking for your presence." We all got up out of our seats.

"Thank you, we're on our way," Peter said. Then one by one we all left. My body was sore but I didn't want to miss out on what might happen. Once we entered the grand hall, a man holding a scroll was waiting for us.

"High King Peter, High Queen Susan," he bowed and then faced Lucy and I, " King Edmund and Queen Lucy it's a pleasure to see you again."

"What news do you have to deliver for us today?" Susan said. By the symbol of his chest and the color of the wax seal, I guessed it was from the kingdom of Terebinthia.

"The future king has invited High King Peter the Magnificent, High Queen Susan the Gentle, King Edmund the Just, and Queen Lucy the Valiant to the coronation of Prince Simon that will be held in four weeks from now. Prince Simon and Princess Adaline hope to see you there. Thank you for keeping your alliance strong. Long live Aslan," the man stopped and rolled up the scroll. "So what say you?" The messenger asked.
