That thing they came crashing down with the meteor was a living being. It soon escaped its pod and was exposed to the outside world. They then hacked a rocket that was being used for a movie and set up timers around the map, supposedly when the rocket was going to launch...
Scenario 1: Y/C and their friends were waiting by Snobby Shores, watching the rocket patiently. It was about to launch.
Scenario 2: A few days after the rocket created the rift, strange things began happening around the map. Items disappearing, things being summoned from other realms and times. Y/C decided to investigate.
