Jaskier was going back down the mountain thinking about what his friend had said to him. At first he was wondering if Geralt truly meant what he had said to him. But the more he thought about it the more Jaskier realized he did. So he decided that since he no longer has Geralt to go travel with he decided to finally go home to the kingdom that he was reluctant to rule. Jaskier managed to find a horse and one of his father's knights. But he discovered that his father had died just a week ago and that he is to be crowned king. Jaskier went back to his home with a heavy heart. He wondered if at some point he will meet Geralt again with another strange adventure. But to be honest Jaskier actually did miss the Witcher.
_______________________________________Geralt was starting to regret what he had said to his friend and he wished that he just kept his mouth shut. He was on his way to look for Jaskier to apologise to him when he met a man wearing odd clothing and then he started whispering some kind of spell. Geralt's entire body suddenly felt hot and his hands started violently shaking.
"W-what's happening to me?!" He asked the man but he wasn't any where in sight.
Geralt then felt his clothes getting tighter and when he looked down he couldn't believe his own eyes. His hands were growing and he had claws. Geralt removed one of his gloves and saw that he was also growing white fur.
He started to panic as he felt whatever magic was used on him changing his body. Geralt tried to use a nearby tree to support himself as his feet began changing from beneath him but the wood splittered under his hands. He looked down and he could already see claw tearing through the black leather of the tight boots. Geralt found himself whimpering like a wounded animal as his boots ripped off his feet or rather based on their current appearance paws. He then felt his legs start to grow causing his pants to rip. Geralt could only watch as his body changed, looking more and more like a monster that would most likely end up being chased away from towns by any humans there. His armor began to tighten on his abdomen and before he could do anything the straps started to snap one by one. Geralt found that his body was now starting to take on a more animal shape and he could no longer stand like a person and the last of his clothes ripped off.
Then he felt the transformation stop.
Geralt found a puddle and didn't recognize the creature that was his reflection.
He managed to gather up what was left of his things and put them where they won't be stolen while he figures out what exactly has happened to him.
Geralt went to the camp to check on, being careful not to scare her but to his surprise she seemed to recognize him and wasn't frightened by his appearance at all. He then wondered how Jaskier would react if he sees him like this. Probably try to get as far away from him as possible and Geralt wouldn't blame him.
That's when he first this pull, as if every single one of his instincts were telling him to go to someone. Geralt felt his body responding to the pull before he knew what he was doing and Roach patiently followed behind him. He then found a fresh trail of Jaskier's scent and he immediately felt a strange mixture of emotion. Geralt decided that when he finds his friend the first thing he will do is apologize to him. But first he needs to find out where his friend is and get to him while at the same time finding a way for him to break this curse he is under. Geralt wanted to see him, tell him about how much he regrets what he said, and comfort him.
So he traveled with Roach, following both the strange pull he felt and his instincts. At night Geralt had nightmares about how his friend would react to seeing him like this. In most of these terrible dreams Jaskier would be calling him a monster and have the other Witchers hunt him down.
Geralt just hoped that Jaskier won't react to badly to the changes in his appearance.
The regret of what he did to Jaskier seemed to cut deeply in every scar on him.
