Then all of a sudden the stain on Geralt's coffin from the white wine that he was just about to drink started to sissle, the wood darkened almost as if it had been burned, Jaskier than realized that the king had just tried to poison him and that Gargar had saved him.

But then the king suddenly put a knife to his neck and he dragged him into the woods, threatening to kill him if anyone tries to intervene with Gargar running after them.

Jaskier was then dragged into some kind of dark room with only the light of a few torches and he could tell that Gargar had followed them both down here.

Gargar seemed to be trying to save him from the king that is holding him captive.

He seemed to know that Jaskier could be killed if he made the wrong move and he was circling them.

"That's right Witcher, even if you are in your normal form you can't get any closer to him!" The king said.

Jaskier was confused about what he had said but then he noticed that Gargar was actually wearing Geralt's wolf medallion and that's when everything became clear.

His best friend was here.

"Geralt, is that you?" Jaskier asked still surprised and confused by the situation.

He was answered with a small nod.

Jaskier let himself cry tears of joy for the first time since he had left the mountain.

Then a mage dressed in a brightly colored robe stepped out from the shadows.

"You see I knew that when you drove the prince away the guilt would lead you to go look for him so I decided to have my friend here make sure that you were unable to communicate with him and that you wouldn't be able to warn him about my plan but I honestly didn't expect you to even be allowed in the palace." The king said. "Since the spell that I had put on you has worked so well I think that perhaps I should have the same thing done to the rest of the Witchers and I must say the spell made you an even more hidous beast than you were before."

Even with very little light to see him clearly he could see that the king's words had hurt his friend.

Jaskier wanted to punch the king in the nuts for what he had just said to him.

But he couldn't do anything with there being a knife to his neck so he just spat a couple of insults at him.

"Yet, uncursed you look like a fat ugly wild boar!" Jaskier spat at the king with plenty of hate and disgust.

He was proud of his insult but had no time to appreciate it because the next second the king kicked him.

Jaskier could see that this made his friend even madder and that he was ready to pounce.

Geralt seemed to get even angrier at the king than he already was, if that was even possible.

Then when the king removed the blade for a second Jaskier took the opportunity to get away from him. He ran to his friend and Geralt wrapped his large furry arms around him. The soft warm fur was comforting to him but Jaskier wondered how terrible this ordeal was for his friend and he had realized that when he was growling after he saved him in the gardens he was really trying to speak but he couldn't.

He gently stroked his soft warm white fur just as he had started to cry once again.

The king tried to attack him again but his friend used his long tail to pin him to the wall.

Suddenly the mage was knocked out by Yennefer and for the first time he was glad to see her.

Jaskier was honestly just hoping that she can undo whatever spell had been put on his now currently soft fur covered friend that had just saved him from that awful king.
