~Even though it's not sweet as Spring, the Summer rain falls healing the cracks~
He looked at the woman who just collapsed on to his arms. He slowly laid her on the couch and brushed her hair out from her face. She had dark circles around her eyes. He got a glass of water and sprinkle some on her face. He sat on the floor near the couch and gently brushed her forehead. She must have suffered a lot alone. Not only for the past three months but also for the past couple of years. He wasn't there when she needed him the most. In the past three months, he realized how hard it must have been on her to handle everything by herself. He had failed to keep the promise he made that he would protect her all the time.
The day of the accident
He looked around the meeting room with glee. His heart was pondering with happiness with thinking his accomplishment. 'This means success' his heart whispered.
"your phone kept blinking for a while now" he heard his colleague's voice.
He checked his phone only to find out missed calls and messages from Sora. He dialed her number.
"Sorry I totally forgot. I will go now" he said.
"Forget it. You never take responsibility. I'm going there already. You go and focus on your business" he heard the clinking sound as she hung up on him.
'is she mad at me? I guess not, anyway, I wasn't just fooling around' he told himself.
He couldn't remember when did they become distant from each other. They no longer share their daily moments with each other, they no longer share each others success stories. They just live together in the same house, sleeping on the same bed. But he couldn't recall when was the last time they shared a passionate kiss even. Earlier they used to kiss each other before leaving for work. But these days it's limited to placing a quick kiss on her forehead while her eyes look dull as ever. He recalled that they didn't speak to each other for the whole day except for Sora telling him to pick Minjae from his nursery.
"Jinyoung-sshi,"
He turned around to see Bambam, the Thai singer that signed with them as the brand ambassador standing behind him.
"Looking forward to working with you," Bambam said with extending his hand.
Jinyoung grabbed his hand and nodded "It's a pleasure to work with you Bambam-sshi, hope you will work with us for a long time".
Sora didn't understand the gravity of his work. He couldn't leave in the middle of the meeting to pick up Minjae even though he promised he would. Bambam was late to come for the meeting and it dragged more than Jinyoung expected.
However, Sora should be happy that I'm making progress with my work. But she never cared.
"Boss, let's go celebrate" he heard Yugyeom, his partner's high pitched cheerful voice.
Jinyoung left a soft chuckle, "alright Yugyeom-ah, let's go celebrate".
Present day
Jinyoung watched her slowly waking up. He was scared to do anything. He was scared even to touch her. Sora slowly opened her eyes. Then she waited a few seconds before sitting upright on the couch. Jinyoung continued to sit on the floor.
"Why didn't you tell me that you knew me?" she asked in a hoarse voice as she was trying hard to keep her from crying.
Sora was feeling lost and scared at the same time. She was lost without her memories and scared of what she might learn. Jinyoung wanted to tell the truth. He wanted to tell her that he hid her past because he was scared that once she learns it she will leave him. But he couldn't do that because he was a coward.
