Natalie (Japanese: ナオコ Naoko) is a character of the day who appeared in The Lotad Lowdown. She runs the Pretty Petal flower shop with her two older sisters Rita and Nicole. When Ash and his friends were playing at the nearby lake with the Lotad, Natalie demanded they come with her to get lectured for trespassing. But instead of them being lectured, she got scolded by Nicole for being rude to the travelers. When Natalie saw how Brock treated her sisters with more kindness, she became jealous, showing that she had a crush on him.
Afterwards, wherever Brock went, Natalie was always next to him, willing to do whatever Brock wanted or needed. Natalie's infatuation for Brock also got her into trouble when she decided to search for a Sitrus Berry by herself, thinking that it would help Brock achieve his goal as a Pokémon Breeder. After finding a Sitrus Berry, Natalie suddenly got attacked by a Beedrill. Brock came to the rescue and saved Natalie from danger.
As Brock and his friends prepared to leave, Natalie gave Brock a list of Berries and their effects on Pokémon, keeping her earlier promise.
She was mentioned by Brock in Berry, Berry Interesting, who revealed that he still had the book she gave him.
SitrusShipping Facts: SitrusShipping is the belief that Brock and Natalie belong in a romantic relationship. The two met and were only seen together in The Lotad Lowdown. It is named after the Berry Natalie went in search of and is considered one-sided canon on Natalie's side; it is akin to Diamond & Pearl's KitchenMaidShipping, due to Natalie being too young for Brock to consider for a girlfriend (though he does take an avid interest in her two sisters).
